قضت محكمة جنايات أمن الدولة العليا في مصر بالسجن المؤبد على 37 متهماً، بينهم قيادات عليا بارزة في جماعة «الإخوان المسلمين»، في القضية المعروفة إعلامياً بـ«التخابر مع دول أجنبية» على رأسهم؛ محمود عزت، محمد بديع المرشد العام للجماعة، محمد خيرت الشاطر، محمود حسين، رشاد بيومي، عبدالرحمن البر (مفتي الجماعة)، محمود غزلان، محمد سعد عليوة.
كما شمل الحكم السجن المشدد 15 عاماً على 27 متهماً، والسجن المشدد 10 سنوات على 6 متهمين، والسجن 5 سنوات على 3 متهمين. وبرأت المحكمة متهماً واحداً، وانقضت الدعوى بوفاة متهمين اثنين هما إبراهيم منير (القائم بأعمال المرشد السابق)، ومحمود محمد محمود.
وقررت المحكمة إدراج المحكوم عليهم على قوائم الإرهاب، وحل جماعة «الإخوان المسلمين»، وإغلاق جميع مقارها، ومصادرة كافة الأجهزة الإلكترونية وهواتف تمرير المكالمات والعملات المضبوطة، كما ألزمت المحكوم عليهم متضامنين بدفع 7 مليارات و54 مليوناً و34 ألفاً و140 جنيهاً لصالح الجهاز القومي لتنظيم الاتصالات، ووضعهم تحت مراقبة الشرطة لمدة 5 سنوات بعد تنفيذ العقوبة.
وتعود القضية رقم 12430 لسنة 2021 - التجمع الخامس إلى تحقيقات نيابة أمن الدولة العليا، التي كشفت عن شبكة متهمين قامت بتمرير المكالمات الدولية عبر خوادم موجودة في تركيا، بهدف رصد الأوضاع داخل مصر، جمع معلومات عن آراء المواطنين، ونقلها لجهات أجنبية.
واتهمت النيابة المتهمين بالانضمام إلى جماعة إرهابية، والتخابر مع دول أجنبية، وتمرير المكالمات الدولية بغير ترخيص، وغسل الأموال، والإتجار في العملة بغير ترخيص، وأكدت التحقيقات أن المتهمين استخدموا أعضاء من الجماعة وآخرين مأجورين داخل وخارج مصر لتنفيذ المخطط.
ويُعد هذا الحكم من أكبر القضايا المتعلقة بالتخابر التي شهدتها مصر، ويأتي ضمن سلسلة أحكام صادرة ضد قيادات «الإخوان المسلمين» منذ 2013، بعد إعلان الجماعة «جماعة إرهابية».
The Supreme State Security Criminal Court in Egypt sentenced 37 defendants to life imprisonment, including prominent senior leaders of the "Muslim Brotherhood," in a case known in the media as "espionage with foreign countries," led by; Mahmoud Ezzat, Mohamed Badie the general guide of the group, Mohamed Khairat Al-Shater, Mahmoud Hussein, Rashad Bayoumi, Abdul Rahman Al-Barr (the group's mufti), Mahmoud Ghazlan, and Mohamed Saad Aliwa.
Additionally, the ruling included 15 years of rigorous imprisonment for 27 defendants, 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for 6 defendants, and 5 years for 3 defendants. The court acquitted one defendant, and the case against two defendants, Ibrahim Munir (the acting former guide) and Mahmoud Mohamed Mahmoud, was dismissed due to their deaths.
The court decided to place the convicted individuals on terrorism lists, dissolve the "Muslim Brotherhood" group, close all its headquarters, and confiscate all electronic devices, call forwarding phones, and seized currencies. It also obligated the convicted individuals jointly to pay 7 billion, 54 million, 34 thousand, and 140 Egyptian pounds to the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, and placed them under police surveillance for 5 years after serving their sentences.
The case number 12430 for the year 2021 - Fifth Settlement relates to investigations by the Supreme State Security Prosecution, which uncovered a network of defendants who were passing international calls through servers located in Turkey, aiming to monitor conditions inside Egypt, gather information about citizens' opinions, and transmit it to foreign entities.
The prosecution accused the defendants of joining a terrorist group, espionage with foreign countries, passing international calls without a license, money laundering, and trading in currency without a license. Investigations confirmed that the defendants used members of the group and others hired inside and outside Egypt to execute the plan.
This ruling is considered one of the largest espionage-related cases witnessed in Egypt and comes as part of a series of rulings issued against "Muslim Brotherhood" leaders since 2013, following the declaration of the group as a "terrorist organization."
