توقع مسؤول باكستاني اليوم (الإثنين) أن يلتقي نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس، والمبعوث الأمريكي الخاص ستيف ويتكوف، وصهر الرئيس جاريد كوشنر مسؤولين إيرانيين في إسلام آباد، وفقاً لما نقلته «رويترز».
ونقل موقع «أكسيوس»، عن مسؤول إسرائيلي، قوله إن هناك محادثات تمهد لعقد اجتماع بين مسؤولين إيرانيين وأمريكيين رفيعي المستوى بالعاصمة الباكستانية إسلام آباد، في وقت لاحق من هذا الأسبوع.
وذكر المسؤول الإسرائيلي أنه «في إطار المحادثات المتعلقة بالقمة في باكستان، يجري بحث إمكانية أن يكون نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس ممثل واشنطن»، موضحاً أن «تل أبيب كانت على علم بأن جهود وساطة تبذلها عدة دول جارية بالفعل لتمهيد الطريق لإجراء محادثات بين إيران والولايات المتحدة، إلا أنها فوجئت بتصريحات الرئيس ترمب بأن هذه الاتصالات تحرز تقدماً، وأن هناك اتفاقات حول 15 نقطة محددة».
في حين ذكرت «القناة 12» العبرية أن «المسؤول الإيراني الذي يجري مفاوضات مع واشنطن هو رئيس البرلمان محمد باقر قاليباف».
من جهة أخرى، أعلن رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني شهباز شريف في وقت سابق اليوم أنه تحدث مع الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بيزشكيان، ووعده بأن تقدم إسلام آباد المساعدة في إحلال السلام في المنطقة.
وأكد شريف في تدوينة عبر منصة «إكس» التزام باكستان أيضاً بأداء دور بنّاء في تعزيز السلام في المنطقة، مؤكداً أنهما ناقشا الوضع الخطير في المنطقة، واتفقا على الحاجة المُلحّة إلى خفض التصعيد، والحوار، والدبلوماسية.
A Pakistani official predicted today (Monday) that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Wittekov, and President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will meet with Iranian officials in Islamabad, according to Reuters.
Axios reported that an Israeli official stated that talks are underway to facilitate a meeting between high-level Iranian and American officials in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, later this week.
The Israeli official mentioned that "as part of the discussions regarding the summit in Pakistan, the possibility of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance representing Washington is being considered," clarifying that "Tel Aviv was aware that mediation efforts by several countries are already underway to pave the way for talks between Iran and the United States, but it was surprised by President Trump's statements that these communications are making progress and that there are agreements on 15 specific points."
Meanwhile, Hebrew Channel 12 reported that "the Iranian official negotiating with Washington is Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf."
On another note, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced earlier today that he spoke with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and promised him that Islamabad would assist in establishing peace in the region.
Sharif confirmed in a post on the "X" platform Pakistan's commitment to also play a constructive role in promoting peace in the region, emphasizing that they discussed the serious situation in the area and agreed on the urgent need for de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy.
