نقلت وكالة الأنباء الفرنسية عن مصادر في وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية أن الولايات المتحدة أصدرت أمراً بمغادرة الموظفين الدبلوماسيين غير الأساسيين وأفراد عائلاتهم من مناطق جنوب تركيا، في إطار سلسلة إجراءات أمنية احترازية تشمل عدة دول في الشرق الأوسط.
وأوضحت الوكالة أن القرار يشمل على الأرجح مناطق مثل أضنة حيث تقع قاعدة إنجرليك الجوية التي تستضيف قوات أمريكية وناتو، وإزمير، وربما مناطق أخرى جنوبية وجنوب غربية، مشيرة إلى أن الإجراء يأتي كرد فعل على «مخاطر أمنية متزايدة» مرتبطة بالتصعيد العسكري الجاري في المنطقة منذ أيام.
ويأتي هذا الأمر في سياق توسع نطاق الإجراءات الأمريكية المماثلة خلال الأسبوع الماضي، حيث أمرت واشنطن بمغادرة موظفيها غير الأساسيين وعائلاتهم من قطر، الكويت، البحرين، الإمارات، العراق، الأردن، ولبنان مع إغلاق بعض البعثات مؤقتاً أو تقليص عملها، بعد هجمات بطائرات مسيرة إيرانية.
وكانت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية قد حثت مواطنيها على المغادرة الفورية من 14 دولة في المنطقة، محذرة من «مخاطر أمنية جسيمة» قد تشمل هجمات انتقامية إيرانية أو تصعيداً يطال قواعد ومنشآت أمريكية.
وتستضيف تركيا كعضو في حلف الناتو تواجداً عسكرياً أمريكياً كبيراً، أبرزه في قاعدة إنجرليك الجوية قرب أضنة جنوب تركيا، التي استخدمت تاريخياً في عمليات ضد تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية وغيرها، وتُعد موقعاً حساساً محتملاً في أي تصعيد إقليمي.
ورغم أن إيران لم تستهدف أصولاً أمريكية في تركيا حتى الآن بسبب التكلفة الإستراتيجية العالية لضرب حليف ناتو، إلا أن الولايات المتحدة اتخذت إجراءات وقائية مشابهة في 2016 بسبب تهديدات إرهابية، مما يجعل القرار الحالي امتداداً لسياسة «تقليص البصمة» في مناطق الخطر.
ولم يصدر تعليق فوري من الخارجية التركية أو السفارة الأمريكية في أنقرة حول التفاصيل الدقيقة للأمر، لكن الإجراء يعكس استمرار حالة التأهب القصوى في المنطقة مع دخول الحرب أسبوعها الثاني.
The French news agency reported from sources in the U.S. State Department that the United States has issued an order for non-essential diplomatic staff and their family members to leave southern Turkey, as part of a series of precautionary security measures that include several countries in the Middle East.
The agency clarified that the decision likely includes areas such as Adana, where the Incirlik Air Base is located, hosting U.S. and NATO forces, as well as Izmir, and possibly other southern and southwestern regions, noting that the measure comes in response to "increasing security risks" associated with the ongoing military escalation in the region over the past few days.
This order comes in the context of the expansion of similar U.S. measures over the past week, where Washington ordered the departure of its non-essential personnel and their families from Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, with some missions temporarily closing or reducing their operations, following attacks by Iranian drones.
The U.S. State Department had urged its citizens to leave immediately from 14 countries in the region, warning of "serious security risks" that could include Iranian retaliatory attacks or escalation affecting U.S. bases and facilities.
Turkey, as a NATO member, hosts a significant U.S. military presence, most notably at the Incirlik Air Base near Adana in southern Turkey, which has historically been used for operations against the Islamic State and others, and is considered a potentially sensitive location in any regional escalation.
Although Iran has not targeted U.S. assets in Turkey so far due to the high strategic cost of striking a NATO ally, the United States took similar precautionary measures in 2016 due to terrorist threats, making the current decision an extension of the "reducing footprint" policy in areas of risk.
No immediate comment has been issued from the Turkish Foreign Ministry or the U.S. Embassy in Ankara regarding the specific details of the order, but the measure reflects the ongoing state of heightened alert in the region as the war enters its second week.
