دعا الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون اليوم (الأحد) طهران إلى ضرورة وقف الهجمات الإيرانية فوراً على دول المنطقة، وإنهاء إغلاق مضيق هرمز، وذلك خلال اتصال هاتفي مع نظيره الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان.
وأوضح ماكرون في منشور على منصة «إكس» أن الحل الدبلوماسي بات أكثر إلحاحاً من أي وقت مضى لمواجهة هذه التحديات الجوهرية، ووضع حد للتصعيد والحفاظ على السلام، داعياً إلى «ضمان حرية الملاحة من خلال إنهاء الإغلاق الفعلي لمضيق هرمز».
وجدد ماكرون التعبير عن «القلق البالغ إزاء تطور البرنامجين النووي والباليستي لإيران، فضلاً عن مجمل أنشطتها المزعزعة للاستقرار في المنطقة، والتي تقف وراء الأزمة الحالية».
في الوقت ذاته، ذكرت صحيفة «تايمز أوف إسرائيل»، الأحد، أن ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر مبعوثي الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب سيزوران إسرائيل الثلاثاء القادم لإجراء محادثات في ظل استمرار الحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية مع إيران.
ونقلت الصحيفة عن مصادر سياسية قولها إن زيارة ويتكوف وكوشنر تأتي وسط خلاف بين إسرائيل وأمريكا بشأن حملة قصف واسعة النطاق نفَّذتها إسرائيل على منشآت النفط الإيرانية.
وكان مسؤول أمني أمريكي رفيع المستوى قد أوضح للقناة 12 الإسرائيلية أن إسرائيل أبلغت واشنطن مسبقاً بخططها لاستهداف البنية التحتية النفطية، لكنها لم تُشر إلى أن الضربات ستكون بهذا الحجم.
بدوره، ذكر رئيس أركان الجيش الإسرائيلي إيال زامير اليوم أن المعركة مع إيران ستستمر لفترة طويلة، وأشار إلى أن هذه الحرب حساسة ومصيرية، وستحدد مستقبل إسرائيل وأمنها لسنوات طويلة قادمة، على حد زعمه.
French President Emmanuel Macron called on Tehran today (Sunday) to immediately stop Iranian attacks on regional countries and to end the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, during a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Bezhakian.
Macron explained in a post on the platform "X" that a diplomatic solution has become more urgent than ever to address these fundamental challenges, put an end to the escalation, and maintain peace, calling for "ensuring freedom of navigation by ending the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz."
He reiterated his "serious concern regarding the development of Iran's nuclear and ballistic programs, as well as its overall destabilizing activities in the region, which are behind the current crisis."
At the same time, the "Times of Israel" reported on Sunday that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, envoys of U.S. President Donald Trump, will visit Israel next Tuesday for talks amid the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.
The newspaper quoted political sources as saying that the visit by Witkoff and Kushner comes amid a dispute between Israel and the U.S. regarding a large-scale bombing campaign carried out by Israel on Iranian oil facilities.
A senior U.S. security official clarified to Channel 12 in Israel that Israel had previously informed Washington of its plans to target oil infrastructure, but did not indicate that the strikes would be of this magnitude.
For his part, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir stated today that the battle with Iran will continue for a long time, noting that this war is sensitive and decisive, and will determine Israel's future and security for many years to come, according to his claims.
