أعلن الجيش الأمريكي، اليوم (الإثنين)، ارتفاع حصيلة قتلاه إلى 4 منذ بدء الحرب على إيران.
وقالت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (سنتكوم) في منشور عبر منصة «إكس» إنه «حتى الساعة 7:30 صباحاً بتوقيت شرق الولايات المتحدة قُتل 4 من القوات الأمريكية في العمليات».
وأوضحت أن العنصر الرابع، الذي كان قد أُصيب بجروح خطيرة خلال الهجمات الإيرانية الأولى، فارق الحياة متأثراً بإصابته، ما يرفع عدد القتلى المعلنين رسمياً.
ترمب: خسائر إضافية «مرجحة»
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب علّق أمس (الأحد) على مقتل 3 جنود، محذراً من أن سقوط مزيد من القتلى الأمريكيين «أمر مرجح» خلال المهمة القتالية في إيران.
وقال في مقطع فيديو نشره عبر منصته «تروث سوشيال»: «تستمر العمليات القتالية بكامل قوتها، وستتواصل حتى تحقيق جميع أهدافنا. لدينا أهداف قوية للغاية»، من دون الكشف عن تفاصيل تلك الأهداف.
«مهمة نبيلة» وتعهد بالمضي قدماً
وأضاف ترمب: «كأمة واحدة، ننعى الوطنيين الأمريكيين الذين قدموا التضحية الكبرى من أجل أمتنا»، مؤكداً مواصلة «المهمة النبيلة» التي ضحوا من أجلها.
ودعا بالشفاء العاجل للجرحى، ووجّه رسالة امتنان لأسر القتلى، في وقت تتصاعد فيه حدة المواجهة وتتزايد كلفة الحرب بشرياً على الجانبين.
The U.S. military announced today (Monday) that the death toll has risen to 4 since the start of the war with Iran.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated in a post on the platform "X" that "as of 7:30 AM Eastern Time, 4 American service members have been killed in operations."
It clarified that the fourth service member, who had sustained serious injuries during the initial Iranian attacks, passed away due to his injuries, raising the officially announced death toll.
Trump: Additional casualties "likely"
U.S. President Donald Trump commented yesterday (Sunday) on the death of 3 soldiers, warning that more American casualties are "likely" during the combat mission in Iran.
He said in a video posted on his platform "Truth Social": "Combat operations continue at full strength and will continue until we achieve all our objectives. We have very strong objectives," without revealing the details of those objectives.
"Noble mission" and a commitment to move forward
Trump added: "As one nation, we mourn the American patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country," emphasizing the continuation of the "noble mission" for which they sacrificed.
He wished for a speedy recovery for the wounded and expressed gratitude to the families of the fallen, at a time when the intensity of the confrontation is escalating and the human cost of the war is increasing on both sides.
