استدعت وزارة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين الأردنية أمس (الأحد)، القائمَ بأعمال سفارة إيران في عمّان وأبلغته رسالة احتجاج شديدة اللهجة إلى حكومته؛ على خلفية الاعتداءات التي استهدفت أراضي الأردن ودولاً عربية شقيقة.
وأكدت الوزارة إدانتها للانتهاكات الصارخة لسيادة بلادها وسيادة الدول العربية، مؤكدة أن الهجمات تعد خرقاً فاضحاً لقواعد القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، وتصعيداً مرفوضاً يهدّد سلامة المواطنين والأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين والدوليين.
وقال المتحدث باسم الوزارة السفير فؤاد المجالي إنّ الوزارة أبلغت القائمَ بالأعمال ضرورة الوقف الفوري للهجمات التي تستهدف الأردن، واحترام سيادته وسلامة أراضيه، والالتزام بقواعد القانون الدولي ومبادئ حسن الجوار.
وأكّد المجالي أنّ الوزارة أبلغت القائمَ بالأعمال بشكل حاسم أنّ الأردن سيتّخذ جميع الخطوات المتاحة واللازمة لحماية سلامة مواطنيه وأمنه وسيادته.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates summoned the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Amman yesterday (Sunday) and delivered a strongly worded protest message to his government; in light of the attacks targeting Jordanian territory and sister Arab countries.
The ministry confirmed its condemnation of the blatant violations of its sovereignty and the sovereignty of Arab countries, emphasizing that the attacks constitute a flagrant breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, and an unacceptable escalation that threatens the safety of citizens and regional and international security and stability.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Fouad Majali stated that the ministry informed the Chargé d'Affaires of the necessity for an immediate cessation of the attacks targeting Jordan, respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and adherence to international law and principles of good neighborliness.
Majali affirmed that the ministry firmly communicated to the Chargé d'Affaires that Jordan will take all available and necessary steps to protect the safety of its citizens, its security, and its sovereignty.
