ثمن مدير عام هيئة مستشفى شبوة العام الدكتور حسين الطويل، الدعم السخي واللامحدود الذي تقدمه حكومة المملكة العربية السعودية عبر ذراعها التنموي «البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن»، مؤكداً أن التدخل السعودي السريع والمستمر كان له الأثر البالغ في استقرار القطاع الصحي بالمحافظة وبث الطمأنينة في نفوس الكادر الطبي والمواطنين على حد سواء.
وأوضح الدكتور الطويل في تصريح لـ«عكاظ» أن المستشفى بات يمثل الركيزة الأساسية للخدمات الطبية في المحافظة، ويخدم ما لا يقل عن مليون و200 ألف نسمة من أبناء شبوة والمناطق المجاورة، مقدمًا لهم خدمات طبية وعلاجية مجانية بنسبة 100%، تضاهي في جودتها المستشفيات الدولية، مما وفّر على المرضى مشقة وتكاليف السفر للعلاج في الخارج.

أرقام تعكس حجم الإنجاز
وكشف الطويل إحصائيات العمل اليومي بالمستشفى، مشيراً إلى أن العيادات الخارجية تستقبل يومياً ما بين 250 إلى 300 مريض، فيما يتجاوز مراجعو قسم الطوارئ 100 حالة يومياً.

وأضاف: «نجري بمعدل 15 عملية جراحية يومياً، كما يقدم المختبر ما بين 600 إلى 700 فحص، وتصرف الصيدلية كمية مماثلة من الوصفات الطبية المجانية، بالإضافة إلى إجراء أكثر من 150 فحصاً بالأشعة التشخيصية المجانية يومياً».
طفرة نوعية في الجراحات التخصصية
وعلى صعيد التطور النوعي، أكد الطويل أن المستشفى يمضي بخطوات واثقة في إجراء العمليات المعقدة ضمن تخصصات جراحة العظام، والمفاصل، والعمود الفقري، إضافة إلى الجراحة العامة والمناظير، منوهاً أن هذه التدخلات الطبية الدقيقة تُنفذ بكفاءة عالية تترجم المستوى المتقدم الذي وصل إليه الكادر الطبي، لافتاً إلى أن المخرجات الجراحية المحققة تضاهي المعايير العالمية، ما يعكس التزاماً راسخاً بتقديم رعاية صحية تتسم بالدقة والاحترافية العالية.

وحول الخطط المستقبلية بدعم من البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، أوضح الدكتور الطويل عن البدء الفوري لدراسة ومراجعة الخدمات الطبية الحالية بغرض تحديث آليات التشغيل وتطويرها بما يتوافق مع أعلى معايير الجودة في المجال الصحي.
استقطاب الكفاءات والتدريب
وأشار الطويل إلى أن المستشفى يعمل على استقطاب أفضل الكفاءات الطبية المحلية والأجنبية، مع تفعيل قسم خاص للتعليم المستمر لتدريب الكوادر وفق أحدث البروتوكولات العالمية، بالإضافة إلى التعاون الوثيق مع كلية الطب والمعاهد الصحية لتدريب الطلاب والخريجين ورفع كفاءة الجيل القادم من الأطباء.

The Director General of Shabwa General Hospital, Dr. Hussein Al-Tawil, praised the generous and unlimited support provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its developmental arm, "The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen," affirming that the swift and continuous Saudi intervention has had a significant impact on the stability of the health sector in the governorate and has instilled reassurance in the hearts of both the medical staff and the citizens.
Dr. Al-Tawil explained in a statement to "Okaz" that the hospital has become the cornerstone of medical services in the governorate, serving no less than 1.2 million people from Shabwa and the surrounding areas, providing them with 100% free medical and treatment services that rival the quality of international hospitals, thus saving patients the hardship and costs of traveling abroad for treatment.

Numbers Reflecting the Scale of Achievement
Al-Tawil revealed daily work statistics at the hospital, indicating that the outpatient clinics receive between 250 to 300 patients daily, while the emergency department sees more than 100 cases each day.

He added, "We perform an average of 15 surgical operations daily, and the laboratory conducts between 600 to 700 tests, with the pharmacy dispensing a similar amount of free prescriptions, in addition to performing more than 150 free diagnostic imaging tests daily."
A Qualitative Leap in Specialized Surgeries
Regarding qualitative development, Al-Tawil confirmed that the hospital is confidently moving forward in performing complex surgeries in the specialties of orthopedic surgery, joints, and spinal surgery, in addition to general surgery and endoscopy, noting that these precise medical interventions are carried out with high efficiency that reflects the advanced level reached by the medical staff, pointing out that the surgical outcomes achieved meet international standards, reflecting a firm commitment to providing healthcare characterized by precision and high professionalism.

Upcoming Expansion Projects
Regarding future plans supported by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Dr. Al-Tawil explained that an immediate study and review of the current medical services will begin with the aim of updating and developing operational mechanisms in accordance with the highest quality standards in the health field.
Attracting Talent and Training
Al-Tawil indicated that the hospital is working to attract the best local and foreign medical talents, with the activation of a special department for continuous education to train staff according to the latest global protocols, in addition to close cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine and health institutes to train students and graduates and enhance the skills of the next generation of doctors.
