كشف الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، اليوم (الأربعاء)، أن مفاوضين أوكرانيين سيجتمعون بمسؤولين أمريكيين، غداً (الخميس) في جنيف، موضحاً أن الهدف مناقشة حزمة لتحسين مستويات المعيشة وإعادة إعمار البلاد بعد الحرب، بما في ذلك حزمة الازدهار.
وأوضح زيلينسكي، خلال مؤتمر صحفي مشترك مع رئيس الوزراء النرويجي يوناس جار ستوره، أن الولايات المتحدة تسعى لإيجاد سبيل لإنهاء أكبر صراع في أوروبا منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية في أقرب وقت ممكن.
وقال زيلينسكي: «في رأيي، لا تكمن الصعوبات حالياً على المستوى العسكري، بل في الإرادة السياسية لإنهاء هذه الحرب وفي مسألة الأراضي»، متوقعاً أن تعقد المحادثات الثلاثية في أوائل مارس القادم.
وأضاف: «سيتم إعداد الوثائق الاقتصادية في اجتماع ثنائي بين أوكرانيا والولايات المتحدة غداً».
وكان أمين مجلس الأمن القومي والدفاع رئيس فريق التفاوض الأوكراني رستم عمروف، قد قال إنه سيلتقي في جنيف مع ستيف ويتكوف المبعوث الأمريكي الخاص وجاريد كوشنر صهر الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب.
وأفاد مسؤولون أوكرانيون لصحيفة «تليجراف» البريطانية بأن خطة «اتفاق الازدهار» تهدف إلى استقطاب نحو 800 مليار دولار على مدى 10 سنوات لإعادة إعمار أوكرانيا، وتحفيز اقتصادها.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed today (Wednesday) that Ukrainian negotiators will meet with American officials tomorrow (Thursday) in Geneva, stating that the goal is to discuss a package to improve living standards and rebuild the country after the war, including a prosperity package.
Zelensky explained during a joint press conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre that the United States is seeking a way to end the largest conflict in Europe since World War II as soon as possible.
Zelensky said, "In my opinion, the difficulties currently do not lie at the military level, but in the political will to end this war and in the issue of territories," expecting that the trilateral talks will take place in early March.
He added, "Economic documents will be prepared in a bilateral meeting between Ukraine and the United States tomorrow."
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary and head of the Ukrainian negotiating team, Rustem Umerov, stated that he will meet in Geneva with U.S. Special Envoy Steve Ricchetti and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Ukrainian officials told the British newspaper "Telegraph" that the "Prosperity Agreement" plan aims to attract about $800 billion over 10 years for the reconstruction of Ukraine and to stimulate its economy.
