أعلن العراق أمس (الإثنين)، تنفيذ حكم الإعدام شنقاً حتى الموت بحق سعدون صبري القيسي، المُدان بقتل المرجع الشيعي محمد باقر الصدر، بعد استكمال جميع الإجراءات القضائية الأصولية الخاصة بالقضية.
الأمن الوطني: الحكم نُفذ بالكامل
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء العراقية «واع» عن المتحدث باسم جهاز الأمن الوطني، أرشد الحاكم، تأكيده أن حكم الإعدام نُفّذ بشكل كامل، موضحاً أنه جاء استناداً إلى الجهود الأمنية والاستخبارية التي بذلها الجهاز في التحقيق والمتابعة.
جرائم إنسانية جسيمة
وأوضح المتحدث باسم جهاز الأمن الوطني أن القيسي أُدين بارتكاب جرائم إنسانية جسيمة، من بينها التورط المباشر في جريمة اغتيال محمد باقر الصدر، إضافة إلى قتل عدد من علماء بيت الحكيم ومواطنين أبرياء، فضلاً عن تنفيذ إعدامات جماعية بحق معارضين.
اعترافات صريحة
وبيّن المتحدث أن القيسي اعترف صراحة بتنفيذ عملية الإعدام بحق الصدر وشقيقته باستخدام سلاحه الشخصي، إلى جانب مشاركته في عمليات إعدام جماعية خلال فترة النظام السابق.
سقوط أحد أبرز قادة الإجرام
وكان العراق قد أعلن في أواخر يناير 2025 القبض على خمسة أشخاص وُصفوا بأنهم من «أعتى المجرمين» التابعين للنظام السابق، والمتورطين في قتل الصدر وشقيقته وآلاف العراقيين، مؤكّداً أن من بينهم سعدون صبري القيسي، الذي كان يحمل رتبة لواء.
Iraq announced yesterday (Monday) the execution by hanging of Saadoun Sabri Al-Qaisi, convicted of killing the Shiite cleric Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr, after completing all the necessary judicial procedures related to the case.
National Security: The sentence was fully executed
The Iraqi News Agency "WAA" quoted the spokesperson for the National Security Agency, Arshad Al-Hakim, confirming that the death sentence was fully carried out, explaining that it was based on the security and intelligence efforts made by the agency in the investigation and follow-up.
Grave Humanitarian Crimes
The spokesperson for the National Security Agency clarified that Al-Qaisi was convicted of committing grave humanitarian crimes, including direct involvement in the assassination of Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr, in addition to killing several scholars from the House of Hikma and innocent citizens, as well as carrying out mass executions of opponents.
Explicit Confessions
The spokesperson indicated that Al-Qaisi explicitly confessed to carrying out the execution of Al-Sadr and his sister using his personal weapon, in addition to his participation in mass executions during the previous regime.
The Fall of One of the Notorious Crime Leaders
Iraq had announced in late January 2025 the arrest of five individuals described as "the most notorious criminals" affiliated with the previous regime, involved in the killing of Al-Sadr, his sister, and thousands of Iraqis, confirming that among them was Saadoun Sabri Al-Qaisi, who held the rank of Major General.
