أعلن مشروع مسام السعودي لنزع الألغام في اليمن اليوم (الأحد) نزع 3,166 لغماً وذخيرة تهدد حياة اليمنيين.
وأوضحت غرفة عمليات «مسام» أنه خلال الأسبوع الأول من فبراير الجاري تمكنت فرق المشروع من انتزاع 1,027 لغماً مضاداً للدبابات و2,134 ذخيرة غير منفجرة، في إطار الجهود المتواصلة لتأمين الحياة وتطهير الأرض اليمنية من الخطر الأكبر المتمثل بالألغام، مبينة أن فرق المشروع طهرت 317,226 متراً مربعاً من الأراضي اليمنية من الألغام.
يذكر أن مشروع مسام منذ انطلاقته في يونيو 2018 وحتى السادس من فبراير 2026، تمكن من تطهير 77,525,573 متراً مربعاً من الأراضي اليمنية التي كانت مفخخة بالألغام التي تتصيد اليمنيين، كما فككت 540,671 لغماً وذخيرة غير منفجرة وعبوة ناسفة.
ويحرص مشروع مسام السعودي على ضمان عودة الحياة الطبيعية للمزارعين والسكان، وحماية الأبرياء من مخلفات الحرب التي استهدفت البنية التحتية والمناطق الآهلة بالسكان.
ويعد مشروع «مسام» من المشاريع التي أطلقها مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية وحقق أرقاماً قياسية في نزع الألغام، كما نجاح في تحييد خطر الموت المتربص بالمدنيين في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية.
ويجسد استمرار مشروع «مسام» في تحقيق إنجازات كبيرة على الأراضي اليمنية، ملامح الإستراتيجية السعودية الشاملة في اليمن، التي لم تكتفِ بانتزاع مخالب الموت من باطن الأرض (الألغام)، بل امتدت لتشمل حزمة من التدخلات الإنسانية والتنموية في شتى القطاعات الحيوية.
وتؤكد هذه الجهود المتكاملة أن يد المملكة التي تقتلع الألغام، هي ذاتها التي تزرع الأمل عبر مشاريع طبية وتعليمية وإغاثية ضخمة، لتبرهن للجميع أن المملكة ستظل إلى جانب الشعب اليمني لتساعده في تجاوز مخلفات الحرب وصناعة واقع جديد يسوده الأمن والاستقرار والتنمية في المحافظات كافة.
The Saudi project Masam for mine clearance in Yemen announced today (Sunday) the removal of 3,166 mines and munitions that threaten the lives of Yemenis.
The Operations Room of "Masam" clarified that during the first week of February, the project teams managed to remove 1,027 anti-tank mines and 2,134 unexploded munitions, as part of ongoing efforts to secure life and clear Yemeni land from the greatest danger represented by mines. It indicated that the project teams have cleared 317,226 square meters of Yemeni land from mines.
It is noteworthy that since its launch in June 2018 until February 6, 2026, the Masam project has managed to clear 77,525,573 square meters of Yemeni land that were littered with mines targeting Yemenis, as well as dismantling 540,671 mines, unexploded munitions, and explosive devices.
The Masam project is keen to ensure the return of normal life for farmers and residents, and to protect innocents from the remnants of war that targeted infrastructure and populated areas.
The "Masam" project is one of the initiatives launched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and has achieved record numbers in mine clearance, successfully neutralizing the threat of death lurking around civilians in various Yemeni governorates.
The continued success of the "Masam" project in achieving significant accomplishments on Yemeni soil reflects the comprehensive Saudi strategy in Yemen, which not only focuses on removing the claws of death from beneath the ground (mines) but also extends to include a package of humanitarian and developmental interventions across various vital sectors.
These integrated efforts confirm that the hand of the Kingdom that uproots mines is the same hand that sows hope through massive medical, educational, and relief projects, proving to everyone that the Kingdom will continue to stand by the Yemeni people to help them overcome the remnants of war and create a new reality characterized by security, stability, and development in all governorates.
