طردت روسيا، اليوم (الخميس)، دبلوماسياً ألمانياً رداً على إجراء مماثل اتخذته برلين، وفقاً لبيان وزارة الخارجية الروسية.
وقالت الخارجية الروسية: «سلّمت رئيسة البعثة الدبلوماسية الألمانية مذكرة تعتبر موظفاً دبلوماسياً في سفارة ألمانيا شخصاً غير مرغوب فيه، في رد منسجم مع قرار الحكومة الألمانية»، محملة برلين المسؤولية الكاملة عن التصعيد الجديد في العلاقات الثنائية.
وأوضحت الخارجية الروسية أن الاتهامات بالتجسس التي وجهتها السلطات الألمانية لدبلوماسيه لا أساس لها من الصحة وتم تلفيقها في إطار ما يسمى بـ«هوس التجسس» الذي يُروج له في ألمانيا بتحريض من السلطات الألمانية، مؤكدة أن هذه الاتهامات مرفوضة رفضاً قاطعاً.
واعتبرت الخارجية الروسية تصرفات الجانب الألماني «استفزازاً رخيصاً يهدف إلى تشويه سمعة البعثة الدبلوماسية الروسية في ألمانيا».
وكانت ألمانيا أعلنت في 22 يناير الماضي طرد دبلوماسي روسي، متهمة إياه بالتجسس.
Russia expelled a German diplomat today (Thursday) in response to a similar action taken by Berlin, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated: “The head of the German diplomatic mission was handed a note declaring a diplomatic employee at the German Embassy as a persona non grata, in a response consistent with the decision of the German government,” holding Berlin fully responsible for the new escalation in bilateral relations.
The Russian Foreign Ministry clarified that the accusations of espionage leveled by the German authorities against its diplomat are baseless and were fabricated as part of what is called the "espionage hysteria" being promoted in Germany at the instigation of the German authorities, asserting that these accusations are categorically rejected.
The Russian Foreign Ministry considered the actions of the German side as “a cheap provocation aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Russian diplomatic mission in Germany.”
Germany announced on January 22 of last year the expulsion of a Russian diplomat, accusing him of espionage.
