في ظل تفاقم التوترات بين إيران والولايات المتحدة، طلب قائد الجيش الإيراني أمير حاتمي، تعزيز القوات المسلحة بـ1,000 طائرة مسيرة استراتيجية.
وقال بعد إصدار أوامر دمج الطائرات المسيّرة البرية والبحرية: «في ظل التهديدات المستقبلية، يبقى الحفاظ على المزايا الاستراتيجية وتعزيزها من أجل القتال السريع والرد الساحق على أي غزو أو معتدٍ على رأس أولويات الجيش»، بحسب ما نقلت وكالة تسنيم للأنباء، اليوم الخميس.
وأوضحت مصادر إيرانية أن المسيرات الجديدة تتناسب مع التهديدات الحديثة وتتضمن فئات التدمير والهجوم والحرب الإلكترونية. وتتمتع هذه المسيرات الجديدة بتصميم حديث لمهاجمة أهداف خاصة ثابتة ومتحركة في البحر والجو والبر. إلا أن وكالة تسنيم لم تنشر صوراً لهذه الطائرات المسيّرة.
وأكدت مصادر متعددة أن الرئيس الأمريكي يدرس خيارات ضد إيران تشمل شن ضربات محددة الأهداف على قوات الأمن وعدد من القادة.
في غضون ذلك، كشف مصدران أمريكيان مطلعان أن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب يريد تهيئة الظروف من أجل «تغيير النظام الإيراني»، وفق ما أفادت وكالة رويترز.
وأوضحت المصادر أن ترمب يدرس خيارات لاستهداف القادة والمؤسسات الذين تحمّلهم واشنطن مسؤولية العنف ضد المتظاهرين، من أجل إعطاء المتظاهرين الثقة في قدرتهم على اقتحام المباني الحكومية والأمنية.
وتشمل الخيارات التي يناقشها مساعدو ترمب توجيه ضربة كبيرة تهدف إلى إحداث تأثير دائم، ربما ضد الصواريخ الباليستية، القادرة على استهداف حلفاء الولايات المتحدة في الشرق الأوسط، أو برامج تخصيب اليورانيوم. وحذر مسؤولون إيرانيون من أن أي هجوم على بلادهم سيستتبع «رداً حاسماً وقوياً وغير مسبوق».
Amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, Iranian Army Chief Amir Hatami has requested the enhancement of the armed forces with 1,000 strategic drones.
He stated after issuing orders to integrate land and naval drones: “In light of future threats, maintaining and enhancing strategic advantages for rapid combat and overwhelming response to any invasion or aggressor remains a top priority for the army,” according to the Tasnim news agency, on Thursday.
Iranian sources clarified that the new drones are suited to modern threats and include categories for destruction, attack, and electronic warfare. These new drones feature a modern design for targeting specific fixed and moving objectives in the sea, air, and land. However, Tasnim did not publish any images of these drones.
Multiple sources confirmed that the U.S. president is considering options against Iran that include launching targeted strikes on security forces and several leaders.
Meanwhile, two informed American sources revealed that U.S. President Donald Trump wants to create conditions for a “change in the Iranian regime,” according to Reuters.
The sources indicated that Trump is exploring options to target the leaders and institutions that Washington holds responsible for the violence against protesters, in order to give the protesters confidence in their ability to storm government and security buildings.
The options being discussed by Trump’s aides include launching a significant strike aimed at creating a lasting impact, possibly against ballistic missiles capable of targeting U.S. allies in the Middle East, or uranium enrichment programs. Iranian officials have warned that any attack on their country would be met with a “decisive, strong, and unprecedented response.”
