في أول اجتماع له بكامل أعضائه، ناقش مجلس القيادة الرئاسي، مساء أمس (الأربعاء)، المستجدات الأمنية والعسكرية، وجهود تطبيع الأوضاع في العاصمة المؤقتة عدن والمحافظات المحررة، كأولوية وطنية قصوى.
وثمّن المجلس دور القوات المسلحة والتشكيلات الوطنية كافة في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار، منوهاً بالترتيبات الجارية لإخراج القوات من عواصم المحافظات، وإعادة تموضعها في مسرح العمليات على مختلف المحاور.
وأشاد مجلس القيادة بجهود السلطات المحلية والأجهزة الأمنية والعسكرية في الحفاظ على السكينة العامة، وحماية المصالح العامة والخاصة، منوهاً بقرار تشكيل اللجنة العسكرية العليا باعتباره محطة مفصلية لتوحيد القرار الأمني والعسكري.
وشدد المجلس على ضرورة وفاء اللجنة بكامل مهماتها، تحت قيادة القوات المشتركة لتحالف دعم الشرعية، وبما يسهم في تهيئة بيئة مستقرة لعمل الحكومة، وتحسين الأوضاع المعيشية والخدمية.
ورحب المجلس بالمواقف الصادرة عن مجلس الوزراء بالمملكة العربية السعودية التي أكدت التزام المملكة القوي بدعم اليمن وشعبه، وأمنه واستقراره، مشيداً بحزمة المشاريع التنموية والدعم الاقتصادي للموازنة العامة للدولة، وانعكاساته على الأوضاع الخدمية والمعيشية في البلاد.
وأكد المجلس التزامه بنهج الشراكة، والحل العادل للقضية الجنوبية، في إطار مؤتمر الحوار الجنوبي الجنوبي، الذي ستستضيفه المملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة بمشاركة المكونات والقوى الفاعلة في الساحة كافة، دون إقصاء أو تهميش.
ورحب مجلس القيادة الرئاسي بالعقوبات الأمريكية الجديدة ضد الحوثي، باعتبارها خطوة مهمة لتجفيف مصادر تمويل مجهوده الحربي، كما تعكس فهماً دولياً متزايداً للتهديد الحوثي العابر للحدود.
وناقش الاجتماع عدداً من القضايا المدرجة في جدول أعماله، ومستوى تنفيذ قراراته وتوجيهاته السابقة، واتخذ بشأنها التوصيات اللازمة.
ورحب المجلس، بعضوَي المجلس الفريق محمود الصبيحي، وسالم الخنبشي، وجددوا لهما التهنئة بمناسبة نيلهما الثقة في إطار استكمال النصاب القانوني للمجلس، وملء الشواغر القائمة، بما يضمن استمرارية عمل المؤسسة الرئاسية بكامل صلاحياتها ومسؤولياتها الدستورية.
In its first meeting with all its members, the Presidential Leadership Council discussed, last night (Wednesday), the security and military developments, as well as efforts to normalize the situation in the temporary capital of Aden and the liberated governorates, as a top national priority.
The council appreciated the role of the armed forces and all national formations in enhancing security and stability, noting the ongoing arrangements to withdraw forces from the capitals of the governorates and reposition them in the theater of operations across various fronts.
The Leadership Council praised the efforts of local authorities and security and military agencies in maintaining public order and protecting public and private interests, highlighting the decision to form the Supreme Military Committee as a pivotal point for unifying security and military decisions.
The council emphasized the necessity for the committee to fulfill all its tasks under the leadership of the Joint Forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, in a manner that contributes to creating a stable environment for the government's work and improving living and service conditions.
The council welcomed the positions issued by the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which affirmed the Kingdom's strong commitment to supporting Yemen and its people, as well as its security and stability, commending the package of development projects and economic support for the state's general budget, and its reflections on service and living conditions in the country.
The council confirmed its commitment to the partnership approach and the fair solution to the Southern issue, within the framework of the Southern Dialogue Conference, which will be hosted by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the participation of all active components and forces in the arena, without exclusion or marginalization.
The Presidential Leadership Council welcomed the new U.S. sanctions against the Houthis, considering them an important step to dry up the sources of funding for their war effort, as they reflect an increasing international understanding of the cross-border Houthi threat.
The meeting discussed a number of issues on its agenda, the level of implementation of its previous decisions and directives, and made the necessary recommendations regarding them.
The council welcomed its members, Lieutenant General Mahmoud al-Sobaihi and Salem al-Khanbashi, and renewed congratulations to them on gaining confidence as part of completing the legal quorum of the council and filling the existing vacancies, ensuring the continuity of the presidential institution's work with all its powers and constitutional responsibilities.
