نجا القيادي في ألوية العمالقة حمدي شكري، اليوم (الأربعاء)، وقتل 4 من مرافقيه، وأصيب 5 آخرون في انفجار سيارة مفخخة كانت مركونة على الطريق أثناء عودته إلى منزله في شمال عدن.
وقال مصدر أمني يمني أن سيارة دفع رباعي صالون كانت مركونة على الطريق، واستهدفت موكب حمدي شكري مما أدى إلى احتراق إحدى مدرعتين التي كانت ترافقه وفيهما 9 من مرافقيه.
وأوضح مصدر أمني أن حمدي شكري أصيب بجروح طفيفة، فيما واصل الموكب طريقه إلى منزله بعد تأمين الموقع من قبل الأجهزة الأمنية، مبيناً أن حالة من الهلع أصاب المارة في موقع الانفجار بمنطقة جعولة شمال عدن، وتضررت عدد من المركبات المتواجدة في محيط الموقع.
وأفاد مصدر أمني أن أصابع الاتهام تتوجه إلى العناصر الفوضوية والتخريبية التي أغضبها دور شكري في ترتيب الوضع الأمني في عدن، ملمحاً إلى وقوف عناصر يرجح أنها تابعة للفار عيدروس الزبيدي، الذي يدعو إلى الفوضى والتخريب والإرهاب.
ويعد حمدي شكري من القيادات البارزة في قوات العمالقة المشهود لها بشجاعتها ومقارعتها للحوثيين، ويقود الفرقة الثانية عمالقة واللواء السابع مشاة وتولى أخيراً مسؤولية ترتيب الوضع الأمني في عدن.
ويُعرف شكري بشجاعته وقيادته الميدانية وتأثيره الاجتماعي في حل النزاعات القبلية في مسقط رأسه بمناطق الصبيحة بمحافظة لحج.
The leader of the Giants Brigades, Hamdi Shukri, survived today (Wednesday), while two of his companions were killed, and others were injured in a car bomb explosion that was parked on the road as he was returning home in northern Aden.
A Yemeni security source stated that an SUV was parked on the road and targeted Hamdi Shukri's convoy, leading to the burning of one of the armored vehicles that was accompanying him, which had two of his companions inside.
The security source clarified that Hamdi Shukri survived the explosion, while the convoy continued its way to his home after securing the site by the security forces, noting that a state of panic affected passersby at the explosion site in the Jaoula area in northern Aden, and several vehicles in the vicinity of the site were damaged.
A security source reported that fingers of accusation are pointing towards chaotic and destructive elements angered by Shukri's role in organizing the security situation in Aden, hinting at the involvement of elements likely affiliated with the fugitive Aidarus al-Zubaidi, who calls for chaos, destruction, and terrorism.
Hamdi Shukri is considered one of the prominent leaders in the Giants Forces, known for their bravery and their fight against the Houthis. He leads the Second Giants Brigade and the Seventh Infantry Brigade and has recently taken on the responsibility of organizing the security situation in Aden.
Shukri is known for his bravery, field leadership, and social influence in resolving tribal disputes in his hometown in the Subaiha areas of Lahij Governorate.
