وسط تصاعد التوتر والحرب الكلامية بين الرئيس الأمريكي والدول الأوربية بشأن جزيرة غرينلاند، نشر ترمب، اليوم الثلاثاء، على حسابه في منصة «تروث سوشيال»، صورة تظهره يغرس العلم الأمريكي في غرينلاند، محاطًا بنائب الرئيس جيه.دي. فانس ووزير الخارجية ماركو روبيو. فيما أظهرت الصورة لافتة أخرى كتب عليها: «غرينلاند.. إقليم أمريكي، تأسس عام 2026».
ترمب وقادة أوروبا
وكرر الرئيس الأمريكي في سلسلة من المنشورات الصباحية المبكرة على منصته «تروث»، مطالبته بأن تتولى بلاده السيطرة على غرينلاند، واصفًا الجزيرة بأنها «حيوية» للأمن العالمي. وكتب: «لا يمكن الرجوع عن ذلك.. الجميع متفق على هذا».
ونشر صورة أخرى لاجتماع في المكتب البيضاوي مع قادة أوروبيين، وإلى جانبهم خريطة لنصف الكرة الأرضية الغربي حيث ظهرت الولايات المتحدة وفنزويلا وغرينلاند وكندا بالألوان الأحمر والأبيض والأزرق، وهي ألوان علم أمريكا.
يذكر أن الصورة الأصلية المستخدمة في الصورة المُعدلة تظهر ترمب مجتمعاً مع القادة الأوروبيين في المكتب البيضاوي في أغسطس الماضي، لمناقشة جهود إنهاء حرب أوكرانيا.
وكان من بين الحاضرين رئيسة المفوضية الأوروبية أورسولا فون دير لاين، ورئيس الوزراء البريطاني كير ستارمر، ورئيسة وزراء إيطاليا جورجا ميلوني.
وكان ترمب كرر مراراً في السابق فكرة وضع كندا تحت السيطرة الأمريكية، مقترحا في بعض الأحيان أن تصبح الدولة الجارة، «الولاية الحادية والخمسين» لأمريكا، في تصريحات أثارت غضباً عارماً في كندا.
وألمح ترمب إلى رغبته في ممارسة سيطرة أكبر على نصف الكرة الأرضية الغربي عملاً بـ «مذهب دونرو»، وهو مزيج من اسمه واسم جيمس مونرو، وهو رئيس أمريكي سابق.
ولفت الرئيس الأمريكي أخيرا، إلى أن بلاده «تدير» الآن فنزويلا عقب العملية العسكرية في كراكاس يوم 3 يناير الجاري، والتي أدت إلى اعتقال الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو وإزاحته من منصبه.
Amid escalating tensions and a war of words between the American president and European countries regarding Greenland, Trump posted today, Tuesday, on his account on the "Truth Social" platform, a picture showing him planting the American flag in Greenland, surrounded by Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The image also featured another sign that read: "Greenland... American territory, established in 2026."

The American president reiterated in a series of early morning posts on his "Truth" platform his demand for the U.S. to take control of Greenland, describing the island as "vital" for global security. He wrote: "There is no going back on this... everyone agrees on this."
He shared another image of a meeting in the Oval Office with European leaders, alongside a map of the Western Hemisphere where the United States, Venezuela, Greenland, and Canada appeared in red, white, and blue, the colors of the American flag.
It is worth noting that the original image used in the edited picture shows Trump meeting with European leaders in the Oval Office last August to discuss efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
Among those present were European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Trump has repeatedly suggested in the past the idea of placing Canada under American control, sometimes proposing that the neighboring country become "the 51st state" of America, remarks that sparked widespread outrage in Canada.
Trump hinted at his desire to exert greater control over the Western Hemisphere in line with the "Donroe Doctrine," a blend of his name and that of James Monroe, a former American president.
Recently, the American president pointed out that his country "is managing" Venezuela following the military operation in Caracas on January 3, which led to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his removal from office.
