وفُسِّر الفيديو، الذي انتشر بصورة واسعة على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي في ساعات، كرد مباشر على الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، الذي اشتهر برقصاته التلقائية في التجمعات الانتخابية، مثل رقصة YMCA الشهيرة في 2016 و2024.

وجاء الفيديو بعد يومين من تصريحات ترمب حيث وصف مادورو بـ«الديكتاتور الذي يدمر شعبه»، وأعلن عن عقوبات جديدة على شركات فنزويلية مرتبطة بالنفط، مما يُفاقم الأزمة الاقتصادية في فنزويلا، حيث وصل التضخم 150% في 2025، وانخفاض الإنتاج النفطي 20%.
ورأى مؤيدو مادورو في الرقصة «رسالة سلام ساخرة»، بينما اتهمه معارضوه مثل ماريا كورينا ماتيوس بـ«الاستهتار بينما يجوع الشعب». وعلق مادورو على الفيديو عبر تويتر: «ترامب يرقص للحرب.. أنا أرقص للسلام.. الفنزويليون يختارون الحياة!»، مُشيراً إلى رقصة ترمب الشهيرة التي أصبحت رمزاً لدعمه.

In a response that blends sarcasm and defiance, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro posted a short video last night (Saturday), showing him dancing enthusiastically to the tune of the song "No a la Guerra, Sí a la Paz" (No to War, Yes to Peace) during a party rally in Caracas, amidst the cheers of his supporters who held banners reading "Venezuelan Peace Against American Imperialism."
The video, which spread widely on social media within hours, was interpreted as a direct response to U.S. President Donald Trump, who is known for his spontaneous dances at campaign rallies, such as the famous YMCA dance in 2016 and 2024.
Maduro, 62 years old, is seen shaking his shoulders and waving his hand in rhythm with the Venezuelan folk song, loudly repeating its lyrics: "No to war.. Yes to peace," while surrounded by supporters wearing shirts that read "Maduro is Unbeatable."
New U.S. Sanctions
The video came two days after Trump's remarks in which he described Maduro as "the dictator who is destroying his people," and announced new sanctions on Venezuelan companies linked to oil, exacerbating the economic crisis in Venezuela, where inflation reached 150% in 2025, and oil production declined by 20%.
Maduro's supporters viewed the dance as a "sarcastic message of peace," while his opponents, such as María Corina Machado, accused him of "being indifferent while the people starve." Maduro commented on the video via Twitter: "Trump dances for war.. I dance for peace.. Venezuelans choose life!" referring to Trump's famous dance that has become a symbol of his support.

Tensions between Venezuela and the United States escalated in 2025 after Donald Trump returned to the presidency, with mutual accusations regarding U.S. interference in Venezuela's elections in July 2024, where Maduro announced his victory with 51% amidst allegations of fraud.
