يؤدي المصلون، اليوم (الإثنين)، صلاة الجنازة على رجل الأعمال الدكتور رشيد بن راشد العوين، بعد صلاة العصر في جامع الملك خالد بالرياض، على أن يُوارى جثمانه الثرى في مقبرة الشمال، وسط حضور متوقع من شخصيات اقتصادية وأكاديمية.
صلاة الجنازة والدفن
تُقام الصلاة على الفقيد في جامع الملك خالد، قبل أن يُنقل جثمانه إلى مقبرة الشمال، فيما يُستقبل المعزون في منزل العائلة بحي الرحمانية لمدة 3 أيام، من بعد صلاة العصر حتى أذان العشاء.
مسيرة مهنية متعددة
يُعد الراحل أحد الأسماء البارزة في قطاع الاستثمار والمعلومات المالية، وهو المؤسس المشارك لشركة «أرقام» الاستثمارية، كما شغل منصب نائب رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة الجوف للتنمية الزراعية، ونائب رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة اتحاد مصانع الأسلاك، إلى جانب عضويته في عدد من مجالس إدارات الشركات.
حضور علمي وبحثي
امتدت مسيرة العوين إلى العمل الأكاديمي والبحثي، إذ عمل في مدينة الملك عبدالعزيز للعلوم والتقنية خلال الفترة من 1985 حتى 2006، كما شغل منصب باحث في المركز الوطني للعلوم والتكنولوجيا بين عامي 1982 و1985، وعمل مساعد مدرس في جامعة أريزونا الأمريكية.
تأهيل أكاديمي رفيع
حصل الفقيد على درجة الدكتوراه في الهندسة النووية عام 1996 من جامعة أريزونا، والماجستير في التخصص ذاته عام 1985، فيما نال درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة الكهربائية من جامعة الملك سعود عام 1982.

ونعى المجتمعان الاقتصادي والأكاديمي الفقيد، مستذكرين إسهاماته في تطوير قطاع المعلومات الاستثمارية في المملكة، ودوره في دعم بيئة الأعمال والمعرفة، مؤكدين أن رحيله يمثل خسارة لكفاءات وطنية أسهمت في مسيرة التنمية.
Today (Monday), worshippers will perform the funeral prayer for businessman Dr. Rashid bin Rashid Al-Owain after the afternoon prayer at King Khalid Mosque in Riyadh, with his body to be laid to rest in the Northern Cemetery, amidst an expected presence of economic and academic figures.

The prayer for the deceased will take place at King Khalid Mosque before his body is transferred to the Northern Cemetery, while mourners will be received at the family home in the Al-Rahmaniya neighborhood for three days, from after the afternoon prayer until the evening call to prayer.
Diverse Professional Career
The deceased is considered one of the prominent names in the investment and financial information sector, being a co-founder of the investment company "Argaam." He also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Company and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Wire Factories Company, in addition to being a member of several company boards.
Scientific and Research Presence
Al-Owain's career extended to academia and research, as he worked at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology from 1985 to 2006. He also held the position of researcher at the National Center for Science and Technology between 1982 and 1985, and worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Arizona in the United States.
High Academic Qualification
The deceased obtained a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering in 1996 from the University of Arizona, and a master's degree in the same field in 1985, while he earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from King Saud University in 1982.
