رعى نائب أمير المنطقة الشرقية الأمير سعود بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز،، بديوان الإمارة اليوم (الإثنين)، حفل تكريم الرعاة والداعمين لجمعية «قبس» للقرآن والسنة والخطابة، وذلك بحضور نائب رئيس مجلس الأمناء المشرف العام على الجمعية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن محمد بن فهد بن جلوي.
وقدّم رئيس مجلس إدارة الجمعية الدكتور أحمد بن حمد البوعلي عرضاً عن أبرز المنجزات خلال عام 2024-2025، شمل عدد المستفيدين من برامج الخطابة، وتخريج 55 حافظا وحافظة، فيما بلغ عدد المجازين من حفظة القرآن الكريم 21 مجازا من 26 دولة. كما أوضح أن مجموع الساعات التطوعية بلغ 150 ألف ساعة بعائد مجتمعي مقدّر بنحو 20 مليونا و150 ألف ريال، وبشراكة 12 جهة، وبنسبة رضا وصلت إلى 100%.
وأشار البوعلي إلى أن الجمعية دشّنت عدة مبادرات نوعية مع شركاء النجاح، من أبرزها: مبادرة «روح وريحان» لفتيات دور التربية الاجتماعية، ومسابقة «إخاء» لأيتام المملكة، ومعرض «جهود الملك سلمان في خدمة القرآن والسنة»، إلى جانب مسابقة الشيخ سليمان الحماد الأسرية. كما أطلقت الجمعية «وقف الوفاء» بقيمة خمسة ملايين ريال، ونفّذت برنامج «الكلمة الطيبة» لنزلاء السجون.
وأضاف أن الجمعية حققت أخيرا نسبة 98.25% في تقييم الحوكمة من المركز الوطني لتنمية القطاع غير الربحي، مع وصول عوائد الاستدامة إلى أكثر من نصف موازنة الجمعية، مما يعكس أثرها الكبير وارتباطها بمستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
من جانبه، أوضح رئيس المجلس الإشرافي للجمعية الدكتور خالد بن محمد العبدالكريم أن «قبس» تواصل توسعها النوعي في المنطقة بفضل دعم القيادة وتوجيهات أمير المنطقة ونائبه ومتابعة مجلس الأمناء. وقد دشنت الجمعية أعمالها في مدينة الخبر من جامع الشيخ عبدالله فؤاد (رحمه الله) وافتتحت فرعها الجديد في مدينة الدمام، في انطلاقة تعكس إستراتيجيتها للتوسع الجغرافي والوصول إلى شرائح أوسع من المجتمع.
وفي ختام الحفل، بارك نائب أمير المنطقة الشرقية توقيع اتفاقية افتتاح دار والدة الشيخ إبراهيم العساف للقرآن الكريم والسنة والخطابة، التي تُعد أول دار للجمعية بالمنطقة الشرقية، كما كرّم سموه شركاء النجاح والداعمين وعدداً من أعضاء مجلس الإدارة.
The Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, sponsored today (Monday) at the Emirate's Diwan a ceremony honoring the sponsors and supporters of the "Qabas" Association for the Quran, Sunnah, and Public Speaking, in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the General Supervisor of the Association, Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Jalawi.
The Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors, Dr. Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Buali, presented an overview of the most significant achievements during the year 2024-2025, which included the number of beneficiaries from public speaking programs and the graduation of 55 memorizers of the Quran. The number of certified Quran memorizers reached 21 from 26 countries. He also indicated that the total volunteer hours amounted to 150,000 hours, with a community return estimated at around 20 million and 150 thousand riyals, in partnership with 12 entities, and a satisfaction rate reaching 100%.
Al-Buali pointed out that the Association launched several quality initiatives with success partners, including the "Spirit and Fragrance" initiative for girls in social care homes, the "Ikha" competition for orphans in the Kingdom, the exhibition "King Salman’s Efforts in Serving the Quran and Sunnah," in addition to the Sheikh Suleiman Al-Hamad Family Competition. The Association also launched the "Waqf Al-Wafa" valued at five million riyals and implemented the "Good Word" program for prison inmates.
He added that the Association recently achieved a governance rating of 98.25% from the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development, with sustainability returns exceeding half of the Association's budget, reflecting its significant impact and alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
For his part, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Association, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Abdulkarim, clarified that "Qabas" continues its qualitative expansion in the region thanks to the support of the leadership, the directives of the Emir of the region and his deputy, and the follow-up of the Board of Trustees. The Association launched its activities in the city of Khobar from the Sheikh Abdullah Fouad Mosque (may God have mercy on him) and opened its new branch in the city of Dammam, marking a start that reflects its strategy for geographical expansion and reaching broader segments of society.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province congratulated the signing of the agreement to open the House of the Mother of Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Assaf for the Quran and Sunnah and Public Speaking, which is the first house of the Association in the Eastern Province. His Highness also honored the success partners, supporters, and several members of the Board of Directors.
