استقبل رئيس جمهورية كازاخستان قاسم جومارت توكاييف، في القصر الرئاسي بالعاصمة «أستانا»، الأمين العام لرابطة العالم الإسلامي رئيس هيئة علماء المسلمين الشيخ الدكتور محمد بن عبدالكريم العيسى.
وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المُشترَك، ثم قلّد الرئيس، الأمين العام للرابطة أرفع أوسمة الدولة، وسام «دوستِك»؛ تقديراً من جمهورية كازاخستان لإسهامات العيسى في تعزيز الصداقة بين الشعوب، من خلال جهوده في ترسيخ التعاون بين أتباع الأديان، وتطوير علاقاتها بما يخدم التفاهم والسلام الدِّيني.
وقد ثمّن العيسى، للرئيس هذا المنح الذي يُعد تقديراً منه لجهود رابطة العالم الإسلامي حول العالم انطلاقاً من رسالتها التي تعكس قيم الإسلام ودعوته للتعايش والسلام.
The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, received the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, at the presidential palace in the capital "Astana".
During the meeting, topics of mutual interest were discussed, and the president awarded the Secretary-General of the League the highest state honors, the "Dostyk" medal, in recognition from the Republic of Kazakhstan for Al-Issa's contributions to enhancing friendship among peoples, through his efforts in establishing cooperation among followers of different religions and developing relations that serve understanding and religious peace.
Al-Issa expressed his appreciation to the president for this honor, which he considers a recognition of the efforts of the Muslim World League worldwide, stemming from its mission that reflects the values of Islam and its call for coexistence and peace.
