انتقل إلى رحمة الله، الكاتب السردي جبير المليحان، إثر معاناة طويلة مع المرض، وتقام الصلاة عليه في جامع الفرقان بالدمام، عقب صلاة عصر غد (الأربعاء).
والفقيد وُلد في مدينة حائل عام 1950، ويُعد من رواد كتابة القصة القصيرة في المملكة، وسبق له ترؤس نادي المنطقة الشرقية الأدبي، وأسس (شبكة القصة العربية) عام 2000، وصدرت له مجموعات قصصية منها (الوجه الذي من ماء)، ورواية (أبناء الأدهم). ونال جائزة أبها 2011 في مجال القصة القصيرة عن مجموعته القصصية (قصص صغيرة). كرّمه نادي الأحساء الأدبي تزامناً مع الاحتفاء باليوم العالمي للقصة 2015، وأقيمت أمسية حول تجربته الإبداعية بعنوان (القصة في المملكة ريادة وإبداع). كرّمه نادي الرياض الأدبي في الدورة السادسة لملتقى النقد الأدبي 2016. حاصل على جائزة وزارة الثقافة والإعلام للكتاب فرع الرواية عن روايته (أبناء الأدهم) 2017. وتم تكريم المليحان أخيراً في بيت السرد للقصة بالدمام.
The narrative writer Jubair Al-Mulihan passed away, after a long struggle with illness, and the prayer for him will be held at Al-Furqan Mosque in Dammam, following the Asr prayer tomorrow (Wednesday).
The deceased was born in the city of Hail in 1950, and is considered one of the pioneers of short story writing in the Kingdom. He previously chaired the Eastern Province Literary Club and founded the (Arab Story Network) in 2000. His published works include short story collections such as (The Face Made of Water) and the novel (Sons of Al-Adham). He won the Abha Prize in 2011 in the field of short stories for his collection (Small Stories). He was honored by the Al-Ahsa Literary Club in conjunction with the celebration of World Storytelling Day in 2015, and an evening was held about his creative experience titled (Story in the Kingdom: Leadership and Creativity). He was honored by the Riyadh Literary Club during the sixth session of the Literary Criticism Forum in 2016. He received the Ministry of Culture and Information's Book Award in the Novel category for his novel (Sons of Al-Adham) in 2017. Recently, Al-Mulihan was honored at the House of Narrative for Storytelling in Dammam.
