رعى أمير المنطقة الشرقية الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز بمقر الإمارة، اليوم (الأربعاء)، حفل تكريم المشاركين في مبادرة «بسطة خير»، بحضور المشرف العام على ملف الباعة الجائلين في وزارة الشؤون البلدية والإسكان الأميرة نجود بنت هذلول بن عبدالعزيز، وأمين المنطقة الشرقية المهندس فهد بن محمد الجبير.
وأوضح أمين الشرقية أن تسجيل الأمانة رقماً قياسيّاً جديداً في موسوعة غينيس للأرقام القياسية، بتشكيل أكبر شعار لمبادرة «بسطة خير» باستخدام 529 طاولة في متنزه الملك عبدالله بالواجهة البحرية في الدمام، يعكس الاهتمام بالمبادرات النوعية، نظراً لما تمثله من دعم فعّال لشريحة كبيرة من المستفيدين. مشيراً إلى أن المبادرة تهدف إلى دعم وتمكين قطاع الباعة الجائلين، وتعزيز دور الأمانات في خدمة الفئات المستحقة من خلال تنظيم مواقع مخصصة ومرخصة وإقامة فعاليات ترويجية للبسطات وفق معايير حديثة لممارسة النشاط، بما يسهم في رفع جودة المنتجات المعروضة، وتوفير فرص اقتصادية مستدامة للمستفيدين.
وتسلّم أمير المنطقة الشرقية شهادة موسوعة غينيس للأرقام القياسية من قبل أمين المنطقة الشرقية، كما كرم المشاركين في المبادرة والداعمين وشركاء النجاح.

The Prince of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, hosted a ceremony today (Wednesday) at the emirate's headquarters to honor the participants in the "Basta Khair" initiative, in the presence of the General Supervisor of the Street Vendors file at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Princess Najoud bint Hithloul bin Abdulaziz, and the Eastern Province Secretary, Engineer Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Jubair.
The Eastern Province Secretary explained that the municipality has set a new record in the Guinness World Records by forming the largest logo for the "Basta Khair" initiative using 529 tables at King Abdullah Park on the waterfront in Dammam. This reflects the interest in quality initiatives, as they represent effective support for a large segment of beneficiaries. He pointed out that the initiative aims to support and empower the street vendor sector and enhance the role of municipalities in serving deserving groups by organizing designated and licensed locations and holding promotional events for the stalls according to modern standards for conducting activities, which contributes to improving the quality of the displayed products and providing sustainable economic opportunities for beneficiaries.
The Prince of the Eastern Province received the Guinness World Records certificate from the Eastern Province Secretary and honored the participants in the initiative, supporters, and partners in success.
