قال رئيس مجلس النواب اللبناني نبيه بري إن استمرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لأجزاء واسعة من الأراضي يعيق انتشار الجيش اللبناني على الحدود الجنوبية.
واعتبر بري، أمام زواره، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، أن حزب الله التزم بما نص عليه اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، لافتا إلى أن الجيش اللبناني انتشر في منطقة جنوب الليطاني بأكثر من 9 آلاف عنصر وضابط، وهو قادر على الانتشار على الحدود المعترف بها دوليا. وأكد أن «ما يعيق ذلك هو استمرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لأجزاء واسعة من الأراضي اللبنانية الجنوبية، وذلك باعتراف اليونيفيل وتقاريرها الدورية». وأضاف: «لكن السؤال الذي يجب أن يُطرح هو: متى وأين وكيف التزمت إسرائيل ببند واحد من بنود اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار؟».
وعن زيارة المبعوثة الأمريكية مورغان أورتاغوس، أفاد بري بأنها ناقشت خلال زيارتها الأخيرة أمرين: الأول، موضوع الادعاء الإسرائيلي باستمرار تدفق السلاح من سورية، والثاني موضوع المفاوضات، مؤكدا أن ما تزعمه إسرائيل بشأن السلاح من سورية «محض كذب»، فأمريكا التي تسيطر على الأجواء بأقمارها الصناعية وغيرها تعرف الحقيقة جيدا.
وفي ما يتعلق بالمفاوضات، قال بري: هناك آلية تعرف بالـ«ميكانيزم» تجتمع ويجب أن تجتمع بشكل دوري، ويمكن الاستعانة بأصحاب الاختصاص من مدنيين أو عسكريين إذا ما استدعى الأمر ذلك، على غرار ما حصل في ترسيم الخط الأزرق أو الحدود البحرية.
The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, stated that the continuation of the Israeli occupation of large parts of the territory hinders the deployment of the Lebanese army along the southern borders.
Berri considered, in front of his visitors today (Tuesday), that Hezbollah has adhered to what was stipulated in the ceasefire agreement, noting that the Lebanese army has deployed more than 9,000 troops and officers in the area south of the Litani River, and is capable of deploying along the internationally recognized borders. He emphasized that "what hinders this is the continued Israeli occupation of large parts of southern Lebanese territory, as acknowledged by UNIFIL and its periodic reports." He added: "But the question that should be asked is: when, where, and how has Israel adhered to any one of the provisions of the ceasefire agreement?"
Regarding the visit of U.S. envoy Morgan Ortagus, Berri reported that she discussed two matters during her recent visit: first, the Israeli claim of the continued flow of weapons from Syria, and second, the issue of negotiations, affirming that what Israel alleges about weapons from Syria is "pure lies," as the U.S., which controls the skies with its satellites and others, knows the truth very well.
Concerning the negotiations, Berri said: There is a mechanism known as the "mechanism" that meets and should meet periodically, and specialists from civilians or military personnel can be consulted if necessary, similar to what happened in the demarcation of the Blue Line or the maritime borders.
