أكد سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين في لبنان وليد بخاري، اليوم (الخميس)، حكمة القيادة اللبنانية في دفع الأمور نحو الاستقرار.
وقال بخاري خلال لقائه نائب رئيس المجلس الإسلامي الشيعي الأعلى علي الخطيب: إننا نعول دائماً على حكمة القيادة اللبنانية، منوهاً بدور الرئيس نبيه بري في هذا المجال.
وشدد على أن لا خصومة للمملكة مع المكون الشيعي في لبنان ولا في الخارج، مستذكراً مواقف موسى الصدر ومحمد مهدي شمس الدين وعبدالأمير قبلان ومواقف الخطيب في هذا المجال وعلاقتهم المتينة مع المملكة.
وشدد على عدم استبعاد أي مكون لبناني في الدولة، موضحاً أن هذه هي روحية اتفاق الطائف.
وفي السياق، نوه الخطيب بدور المملكة العربية السعودية وحكمتها في تقريب وجهات النظر بين اللبنانيين وتحقيق الاستقرار تماما كما فعلت سابقا في اتفاق الطائف ورعايتها الدائمة له، وكانت لها اليد الطولى في هذا المجال.
ووجه الخطيب الدعوة للسفير بخاري للمشاركة في الندوة التي يقيمها المجلس الشيعي في السادس من الشهر القادم في مقره في الحازمية حول اتفاق الطائف.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, confirmed today (Thursday) the wisdom of the Lebanese leadership in pushing matters towards stability.
Bukhari stated during his meeting with the Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council, Ali Al-Khatib, that they always rely on the wisdom of the Lebanese leadership, highlighting the role of President Nabih Berri in this regard.
He emphasized that the Kingdom has no animosity with the Shia component in Lebanon or abroad, recalling the positions of Musa Sadr, Muhammad Mahdi Shams al-Din, Abdul Amir Qabalan, and Al-Khatib in this context and their strong relationship with the Kingdom.
He stressed the importance of not excluding any Lebanese component in the state, clarifying that this is the spirit of the Taif Agreement.
In this context, Al-Khatib praised the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its wisdom in bridging the views between the Lebanese and achieving stability, just as it did previously in the Taif Agreement and its ongoing sponsorship of it, having played a significant role in this area.
Al-Khatib extended an invitation to Ambassador Bukhari to participate in the seminar organized by the Shia Council on the sixth of next month at its headquarters in Hazmieh regarding the Taif Agreement.
