شهدت ولاية وايومنغ الأمريكية اليوم (الأربعاء) حالة استنفار أمني غير مسبوقة، بعدما تم إخلاء مبنى الكابيتول بالكامل، بما في ذلك مكتب حاكم الولاية مارك غوردون، إثر العثور على جسم يُشتبه في كونه عبوة ناسفة محلية الصنع داخل محيط المبنى الحكومي.
وبحسب بيان صادر عن شرطة الولاية ودورية الطرق في وايومنغ، بدأ الإخلاء في تمام التاسعة والنصف صباحًا بالتوقيت المحلي، واستمر حتى ساعات بعد الظهر، وسط انتشار مكثّف لعناصر الأمن ووحدات مكافحة المتفجرات، واستخدام الطائرات المسيّرة والكلاب البوليسية المدربة لتمشيط المنطقة بحثًا عن أي مواد مشبوهة أخرى.
وجرى خلال العملية إجلاء جميع العاملين والزوار من مبنى الكابيتول والمكاتب المتصلة به عبر الممرات السفلية، بما في ذلك أعضاء لجنة «العملة المستقرة لولاية وايومنغ» الذين كانوا يعقدون اجتماعًا في قاعة بالطابق السفلي وقت العثور على الجسم الغامض.
وأكدت السلطات أن الحاكم مارك غوردون أُخرج من المبنى إلى مكان آمن فور تلقي الإنذار الأولي، في إجراء احترازي يهدف إلى ضمان سلامة كبار المسؤولين والموظفين الحكوميين.

وأغلقت الشرطة الشوارع المحيطة بمبنى الكابيتول أمام حركة المرور، كما طُلب من الموظفين الموجودين في المباني الحكومية المجاورة الاحتماء في أماكنهم وعدم المغادرة حتى صدور التعليمات النهائية من فرق الطوارئ.
ولم تعلن السلطات (حتى وقت إعداد الخبر) نتائج الفحص الفني للجسم المشتبه به، فيما تواصل أجهزة الأمن الفيدرالية والمحلية تحقيقاتها لتحديد الجهة أو الشخص المسؤول عن تركه في هذا الموقع الحساس، وسط تأكيدات بأن الوضع بات تحت السيطرة وأنه لا توجد إصابات بشرية.
وأثارت الحادثة قلقًا واسعًا في الأوساط السياسية بوايومنغ، لاسيما أنها تأتي في ظل تصاعد التهديدات الأمنية ضد المباني الحكومية في الولايات المتحدة خلال الأشهر الأخيرة، ما دفع بعض المراقبين إلى المطالبة بتشديد الإجراءات حول المؤسسات الرسمية في الولايات الصغيرة التي لا تمتلك موارد أمنية كبيرة.
The state of Wyoming in the United States witnessed an unprecedented security alert today (Wednesday), after the Capitol building was completely evacuated, including the office of Governor Mark Gordon, following the discovery of an object suspected to be a homemade explosive device within the vicinity of the government building.
According to a statement issued by the state police and the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the evacuation began at 9:30 AM local time and continued for hours into the afternoon, amid a heavy presence of security personnel and bomb disposal units, as well as the use of drones and trained police dogs to search the area for any other suspicious materials.
During the operation, all employees and visitors were evacuated from the Capitol building and connected offices via underground corridors, including members of the "Wyoming Stablecoin Committee" who were holding a meeting in a basement room at the time the mysterious object was found.
Authorities confirmed that Governor Mark Gordon was moved from the building to a safe location immediately after receiving the initial alert, as a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring the safety of senior officials and government employees.
Wyoming Highway Patrol spokesman Aaron Brown stated that investigations are still ongoing to determine the nature of the object, noting that it "appears to be homemade and not of military or industrial manufacture," while refusing to disclose the exact location where the device was found for security reasons.
Brown added, "Whether the device is real or not, public safety is our top priority, and we are treating the situation with the utmost seriousness until proven otherwise."
The police closed the streets surrounding the Capitol building to traffic, and employees in nearby government buildings were instructed to shelter in place and not leave until final instructions were issued by emergency teams.
As of the time of this report, authorities had not announced the results of the technical examination of the suspicious object, while federal and local security agencies continue their investigations to determine the entity or individual responsible for leaving it in this sensitive location, amid assurances that the situation is under control and there are no human injuries.
The incident has raised widespread concern in political circles in Wyoming, especially as it comes amid rising security threats against government buildings in the United States in recent months, prompting some observers to call for tightening security measures around official institutions in smaller states that do not have significant security resources.
