دعا رئيس الحكومة العراقية محمد شياع السوداني الإدارة الأمريكية إلى تجنب أي خطوات أو قرارات أحادية الجانب خارج إطار التشاور والتنسيق.
وبحث السوداني خلال اتصالٍ هاتفي تلقاه من وزير الخارجية الأمريكي ماركو روبيو الليلة الماضية، سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية، ومواصلة الجهود المشتركة لترسيخ الشراكة المتعددة الأبعاد بين بغداد وواشنطن في المجالات السياسية والاقتصادية والثقافية والأمنية والعسكرية.
وبحسب بيان صادر عن المكتب الإعلامي لرئيس مجلس الوزراء، أكد السوداني حرص حكومته على مواصلة زخم التعاون الثنائي والمضي قدماً في تنفيذ الاتفاقات والتفاهمات القائمة، خصوصا المتعلقة بتوسيع الروابط الاقتصادية، وتنمية البيئة الاستثمارية الجاذبة للأعمال، وتهيئة المناخ أمام الشركات الأمريكية للعمل في العراق، بما يجسد الرؤية المشتركة بين البلدين.
وأضاف البيان أن الجانبين تطرقا إلى الاستحقاق الدستوري المتمثل بالانتخابات المرتقبة في العراق، حيث شدد السوداني على التزام الحكومة بدعم المسار الديمقراطي وترسيخ الاستقرار السياسي وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة في البلاد.
وأكد السوداني أن العلاقات الودية بين بغداد وواشنطن، تقوم على الحوار البناء والتواصل المستمر عبر قنوات متعددة، بما يعزز المصالح المشتركة ويكرّس الثقة المتبادلة، في إطار من التشاور والتنسيق المستمر لتحقيق الأهداف المشتركة، مشدداً على ضرورة تجنّب أي خطوات أحادية الجانب خارج إطار التواصل والتشاور.
وكان بيان لوزارة الخارجية الأمريكية، أفاد بأن روبيو أبلغ السوداني، بضرورة الإسراع في نزع سلاح الفصائل المسلحة، وناقش الجانبان جهود إتمام صفقات تجارية أمريكية في العراق.
وحذر روبيو من أن الجماعات المسلحة في العراق، تهدد حياة وأعمال الأمريكيين والعراقيين على حد سواء، وتنهب الموارد العراقية لصالح طهران.
وتزامن الاتصال الهاتفي بين السوداني وروبيو مع زيارة سرية قام بها إلى بغداد قائد فيلق القدس في الحرس الثوري الإيراني الجنرال إسماعيل قاآني، حيث التقى عدد من قيادات الإطار التنسيقي.
وقال مصدر مطلع لـ«عكاظ» إن قاآني وصل إلى بغداد والتقى عددا من قادة القوى السياسية والفصائل المسلحة.
وكانت مصادر سياسية عراقية، كشفت خلافات متصاعدة داخل الإطار التنسيقي تتعلق باستخدام موارد الدولة والنفوذ السياسي في الدعاية الانتخابية لصالح عدد من القوائم المنضوية ضمن التحالف الحاكم، في وقت دخلت أطراف إيرانية على خط الوساطة لاحتواء التوتر.
وقال أحد المصادر لـ«عكاظ» إن قائد فيلق القدس في الحرس الإيراني وخلال زيارته الأخيرة إلى العراق لتقديم واجب العزاء في وفاة زوجة المرجع الديني الأعلى، أجرى لقاءات منفردة مع زعامات قوى الإطار التنسيقي، وشدد خلالها على ضرورة الحفاظ على وحدة الموقف وترك الخلافات جانباً قبيل الانتخابات القادمة.
The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, called on the U.S. administration to avoid any unilateral steps or decisions outside the framework of consultation and coordination.
During a phone call he received from U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio last night, al-Sudani discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and continue joint efforts to solidify the multidimensional partnership between Baghdad and Washington in political, economic, cultural, security, and military fields.
According to a statement issued by the media office of the Prime Minister, al-Sudani emphasized his government's commitment to maintaining the momentum of bilateral cooperation and moving forward with the implementation of existing agreements and understandings, particularly those related to expanding economic ties, developing an attractive investment environment for businesses, and creating a favorable climate for American companies to operate in Iraq, reflecting the shared vision between the two countries.
The statement added that both sides addressed the constitutional entitlement represented by the upcoming elections in Iraq, where al-Sudani stressed the government's commitment to supporting the democratic process, consolidating political stability, and achieving sustainable development in the country.
Al-Sudani affirmed that the friendly relations between Baghdad and Washington are based on constructive dialogue and continuous communication through multiple channels, which enhances mutual interests and establishes mutual trust, within a framework of ongoing consultation and coordination to achieve common goals, stressing the need to avoid any unilateral steps outside the framework of communication and consultation.
A statement from the U.S. State Department indicated that Rubio informed al-Sudani of the necessity to expedite the disarmament of armed factions, and both sides discussed efforts to finalize American commercial deals in Iraq.
Rubio warned that armed groups in Iraq threaten the lives and businesses of both Americans and Iraqis, and plunder Iraqi resources for the benefit of Tehran.
The phone call between al-Sudani and Rubio coincided with a secret visit to Baghdad by the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, General Ismail Qaani, where he met with several leaders of the Coordination Framework.
A knowledgeable source told "Okaz" that Qaani arrived in Baghdad and met with several leaders of political forces and armed factions.
Political sources in Iraq revealed escalating disagreements within the Coordination Framework regarding the use of state resources and political influence in electoral campaigning for several lists within the ruling coalition, while Iranian parties have intervened to mediate and contain the tension.
One of the sources told "Okaz" that the commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Guard, during his recent visit to Iraq to offer condolences for the death of the wife of the supreme religious authority, held individual meetings with leaders of the Coordination Framework, during which he emphasized the necessity of maintaining a united stance and setting aside disagreements ahead of the upcoming elections.
