وسط مساعٍ أمريكية ومصرية لتثبيت وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، التقى رئيس الاستخبارات العامة المصرية حسن رشاد في تل أبيب، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، رئيس وزراء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو والمبعوث الأمريكي ستيف ويتكوف.
وأفادت هيئة البث الإسرائيلية أن رئيس المخابرات المصرية التقى مسؤولين آخرين لبحث خطة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بشأن غزة.
وذكرت قناة «القاهرة الإخبارية»، أن رشاد سيبحث مع المسؤولين الإسرائيليين دخول المساعدات وتذليل العقبات التي تواجه تنفيذ مقترح ترمب، ويلتقي رشاد المبعوث الأمريكي الذي يزور إسرائيل حاليا مع مسؤولين أمريكيين آخرين.
وكانت مصر من بين الوسطاء الذين لعبوا دورا في التوصل إلى اتفاق ينهي حرب غزة. واستضافت مدينة شرم الشيخ المصرية قبل أيام، مؤتمرا دوليا للسلام، حضره الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب الذي وضع مقترحا لإنهاء الحرب.
في غضون ذلك، تسعى القاهرة لاستصدار قرار من مجلس الأمن الدولي «بأسرع وقت ممكن»، لإنشاء قوة حفظ سلام في قطاع غزة.
وقال وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي في مقابلة أجرتها معه صحيفة «ذا ناشونال»: إن مهمة القوة ومجلس السلام المقترح يجب أن تكون تقديم الدعم للفلسطينيين لإدارة شؤونهم بأنفسهم. وأضاف أنه «لن يكون مقبولا أن يدير الأجانب غزة». وأكد أن هذا أمر بالغ الأهمية، مضيفا أن مصر على أهبة الاستعداد للمشاركة بجميع الأشكال، لكن ضمن معايير محددة سيتم تفصيلها في قرار مجلس الأمن من خلال تفويض واضح.
Amid American and Egyptian efforts to solidify the ceasefire in Gaza, Egyptian General Intelligence Chief Hassan Rashad met today (Tuesday) in Tel Aviv with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and American envoy Steve Witkoff.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that the Egyptian intelligence chief met with other officials to discuss U.S. President Donald Trump's plan regarding Gaza.
Al-Qahira News Channel stated that Rashad will discuss with Israeli officials the entry of aid and overcoming obstacles to implementing Trump's proposal, and Rashad will meet with the American envoy who is currently visiting Israel along with other American officials.
Egypt was among the mediators that played a role in reaching an agreement to end the Gaza war. The Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh hosted an international peace conference a few days ago, attended by U.S. President Donald Trump, who presented a proposal to end the war.
Meanwhile, Cairo is seeking to obtain a resolution from the United Nations Security Council "as soon as possible" to establish a peacekeeping force in the Gaza Strip.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said in an interview with The National that the mission of the proposed force and peace council should be to support the Palestinians in managing their own affairs. He added that "it would not be acceptable for foreigners to manage Gaza." He emphasized that this is of utmost importance, adding that Egypt is ready to participate in all forms, but within specific criteria that will be detailed in the Security Council resolution through a clear mandate.
