الجيش السوداني يحبط هجوماً لـ«الدعم السريع» على ولاية جنوب كردفان

Suicide drones from the Rapid Support Forces targeted sites within the city of Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan in South Sudan, in recent hours. Sudanese sources and eyewitnesses reported that the army forces of the 14th division and security agencies were on alert for this targeting due to the strikes carried out by the Rapid Support drones on several areas in South Kordofan over the past two days.
A responsible official revealed that the Rapid Support drones failed to hit their targets in Kadugli after being engaged by ground defenses.
According to eyewitnesses in the city of Delingen in South Kordofan, a child was killed, and 4 others were injured as a result of a shell fired by the Rapid Support Forces that targeted a charitable kitchen in the city.
Fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces has intensified in recent times in Darfur (West) and Kordofan, especially after the army regained control of the capital, Khartoum. Additionally, suicide drones, which the Rapid Support Forces have increasingly used, emerged on the scene several months ago.
The Rapid Support Forces have made progress in recent weeks towards El Fasher, which they have besieged for over a year, and it is the only major city in the Darfur region still under the control of the army.
The ongoing war in Sudan has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands and has caused what the United Nations described as "the worst humanitarian crisis in the world," displacing more than 13 million people, including one million who have fled from El Fasher.
