وسط تأكيدات عن ترحيل 400 إيراني إلى بلدهم، أصدر قاض أمريكي حكماً، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، ضد إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب التي اتهمها بقمع حرية التعبير وانتهاك الدستور الأمريكي، من خلال تبني سياسة إلغاء تأشيرات الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس الأجانب الذين ينخرطون في الدعوات المؤيدة للفلسطينيين واعتقالهم، واحتجازهم، وترحيلهم.
وأكد قاضي المحكمة الجزئية في بوسطن وليام يونج في قراره بأن الإدارة تقمع حرية التعبير في حرم الجامعات في انتهاك للتعديل الأول للدستور، موضحاً أنه سيحدد ما هو المطلوب لمعالجة الأمر في مرحلة لاحقة من القضية.
وحث محامو مجموعات أعضاء هيئة التدريس على منع إدارة ترمب من التهديد بمثل هذه الاعتقالات، والترحيلات في المستقبل.
ترحيل 400 إيراني
من جهة أخرى، قال مسؤول أمريكي، وآخر إيراني إن مجموعة أولى من نحو 400 إيراني من المتوقع ترحيلهم من الولايات المتحدة، ضمن حملة الرئيس دونالد ترمب بشأن الهجرة، من المزمع وصولهم إلى قطر اليوم، قبل أن يتوجهوا إلى طهران.
وأوضح المسؤول الأمريكي أن المجموعة تضم أفراداً دخلوا الولايات المتحدة من دون سند قانوني، فيما قال مدير عام الشؤون البرلمانية بوزارة الخارجية الإيرانية حسين نوش آبادي، إن الولايات المتحدة تعتزم ترحيل نحو 400 إيراني، أغلبهم ممن دخلوا البلاد بصورة غير قانونية، بما يتماشى مع نهج الحكومة الأمريكية الجديد المناهض للهجرة.
مغادرة 120 مهاجر كدفعة أولى
ونقلت وكالة «تسنيم» الإيرانية عن آبادي قوله: «قرروا ترحيل 120 إيرانياً دخلوا الولايات المتحدة على نحو غير قانوني، معظمهم عبر المكسيك، كخطوة أولى»، داعياً واشنطن، إلى احترام حقوق المهاجرين الإيرانيين في الولايات المتحدة.
ولفت إلى أن المجموعة الأولى ستصل إلى إيران خلال يومين بعد أن أقلعت طائرة تستأجرها الولايات المتحدة من ولاية لويزيانا، في وقت متأخر أمس، مبيناً أنه سيتم نقل المرحّلين إلى قطر ومنها إلى طهران.
Amid confirmations about the deportation of 400 Iranians to their country, a U.S. judge issued a ruling today (Tuesday) against the administration of President Donald Trump, accusing it of suppressing freedom of expression and violating the U.S. Constitution by adopting a policy of revoking visas for foreign students and faculty members who engage in pro-Palestinian advocacy, detaining them, and deporting them.
U.S. District Judge William Young affirmed in his decision that the administration is suppressing freedom of expression on university campuses in violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution, clarifying that he will determine what is required to address the matter at a later stage of the case.
Lawyers for faculty groups urged the Trump administration to refrain from threatening such arrests and deportations in the future.
Deportation of 400 Iranians
On another note, an American official and an Iranian official stated that a first group of about 400 Iranians is expected to be deported from the United States as part of President Donald Trump's immigration campaign, and they are scheduled to arrive in Qatar today before heading to Tehran.
The American official explained that the group includes individuals who entered the United States unlawfully, while the Director General of Parliamentary Affairs at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Hossein Nooshabadi, stated that the United States intends to deport about 400 Iranians, most of whom entered the country illegally, in line with the new anti-immigration stance of the U.S. government.
Departure of 120 Migrants as a First Batch
The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" quoted Nooshabadi as saying: "They decided to deport 120 Iranians who entered the United States illegally, most of them via Mexico, as a first step," calling on Washington to respect the rights of Iranian migrants in the United States.
He noted that the first group will arrive in Iran within two days after a plane chartered by the United States took off from Louisiana late yesterday, indicating that the deportees will be transferred to Qatar and then to Tehran.
