أعرب الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب مجددا عن تفاؤله بإمكانية التوصل إلى حل في قطاع غزة، ينهي الحرب المتواصلة منذ سنتين. وقال ترمب قبيل مغادرته البيت الأبيض لحضور بطولة كأس رايدر للغولف في نيويورك، اليوم (الجمعة): إنه اقترب من التوصل إلى اتفاق لإنهاء الحرب في غزة وإعادة الرهائن إلى ديارهم، مؤكدا أن عودة الرهائن قد تكون قريبة.
وفي سياق آخر، انتقد الرئيس الأمريكي الحزب الديمقراطي، موجها له انتقادات لاذعة، واعتبر أنه لا تضخم في أمريكا والأسعار منخفضة. ورأى أن الولايات المتحدة استعادت هيبتها، وفرضت احترامها على دول العالم أجمع.
وأدلى ترمب بهذه التصريحات بعد دقائق من انتهاء كلمة رئيس وزراء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو في الأمم المتحدة، التي اعتبر فيها أن الاعتراف بدولة فلسطين بمثابة انتحار لبلاده.
وكان ترمب أعلن للمرة الأولى عقب محادثات مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي أنه لن يسمح لإسرائيل بضم الضفة الغربية المحتلة، وجدد التأكيد على أنه «على الحرب أن تتوقف».
وأفصح مقربون من نتنياهو أن حكومته تتعرض لضغوط أمريكية من أجل قبول خطة ترمب حول وقف الحرب في غزة، والتي أعرب المبعوث الأمريكي الخاص ستيف ويتكوف عن تفاؤل بلاده بإقرارها خلال الأيام القادمة.
ولا يزال نحو 45 أسيرا إسرائيليا محتجزين في قطاع غزة المدمر والمحاصر، يعتقد أن أكثر من نصفهم في عداد القتلى، بحسب تقديرات إسرائيلية.
وبلغ عدد الضحايا من الجانب الفلسطيني خلال حرب الإبادة الجماعية أكثر من 60 ألفا، وفق تقديرات أممية، فضلا عن انتشار المجاعة في أنحاء مختلفة من غزة، وفق ما أكدت الأمم المتحدة أكثر من مرة.

Close associates of Netanyahu revealed that his government is under American pressure to accept Trump's plan regarding the cessation of the war in Gaza, which U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff expressed optimism about its approval in the coming days.
