أعرب ولي عهد دولة الكويت الشيخ صباح الخالد الصباح, عن شكره للمملكة العربية السعودية وفرنسا على رئاستهما المشتركة للمؤتمر الدولي رفيع المستوى لتسوية القضية الفلسطينية وتنفيذ حل الدولتين، مؤكدًا تطلع بلاده للبناء على ما وفره المؤتمر من زخم سياسي لصالح القضية الفلسطينية.
وقال في كلمته أمام المناقشة العامة للدورة الثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة: «إن الكويت تجدد رفضها القاطع لسياسة الاستيطان والتهجير القسري التي تنتهجها القوة القائمة بالاحتلال»، مؤكدًا التزام بلاده الثابت بدعم وكالة الأونروا وإدراكها للدور المحوري الذي تضطلع به في توفير الاحتياجات الأساسية للاجئين الفلسطينيين.
وشدد ولي عهد الكويت على ضرورة احترام القانون الدولي دون انتقائية، داعيًا إلى إنهاء العدوان الإسرائيلي على قطاع غزة والأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، والسماح الفوري بدخول المساعدات الإنسانية.
The Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah, expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France for their joint presidency of the high-level international conference to resolve the Palestinian issue and implement the two-state solution, affirming his country's aspiration to build on the political momentum provided by the conference in favor of the Palestinian cause.
In his speech at the general debate of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, he stated: "Kuwait reiterates its firm rejection of the policy of settlement and forced displacement pursued by the occupying power," emphasizing his country's steadfast commitment to supporting UNRWA and recognizing the pivotal role it plays in providing basic needs for Palestinian refugees.
The Crown Prince of Kuwait stressed the necessity of respecting international law without selectivity, calling for an end to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and for the immediate allowance of humanitarian aid to enter.
