رحّبت الحكومة الأردنية أمس، بإعلان دوقية لوكسمبورغ نيّتها الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية خلال اجتماعات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة التي ستُعقَد في نيويورك، واعتبارها خطوة مهمة باتجاه إنهاء الاحتلال، وتنفيذ حل الدولتين.
وأكّد الناطق الرسمي باسم وزارة الخارجية الأردنية فؤاد المجالي، تثمين الأردن هذا التوجّه الذي ينسجم مع الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى مزيد من الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة ذات السيادة على خطوط الرابع من يونيو 1967، وعاصمتها القدس المحتلة، على أساس حل الدولتين وفق قرارات الشرعية الدولية ومبادرة السلام العربية.
وجدّد المجالي التأكيد على موقف الأردن الثابت في العمل مع الشركاء الدوليين لدعم حق الشعب الفلسطيني في الحرية والعدالة وإنهاء الاحتلال وتقرير المصير وتجسيد دولته المستقلة على ترابه الوطني.
The Jordanian government welcomed yesterday the announcement by the Duchy of Luxembourg of its intention to recognize the State of Palestine during the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly to be held in New York, considering it an important step towards ending the occupation and implementing the two-state solution.
The official spokesperson for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Majali, confirmed Jordan's appreciation for this direction, which aligns with international efforts aimed at further recognition of the independent and sovereign State of Palestine along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Majali reiterated Jordan's firm position in working with international partners to support the Palestinian people's right to freedom and justice, end the occupation, and achieve self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on their national soil.
