تستضيف العاصمة المصرية القاهرة، الثلاثاء، اجتماعا دوليا بين وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي، ومدير الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية رفائيل غروسي، يشارك فيه وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي، لمناقشة تطورات البرنامج النووي الإيراني وتعزيز التعاون بين طهران والوكالة الدولية، وسط مخاوف دولية متزايدة من تصعيد التوترات الإقليمية.
اتصالات لتقريب وجهات النظر
وعلى مدار الأيام الماضية أجرى وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي سلسلة اتصالات مع عباس عراقجي ورفائيل غروسي، لتهيئة الظروف لاستئناف المفاوضات بين ايران والوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية حول الملف النووي الإيراني، وتقريب وجهات النظر بين الأطراف المعنية.
جهود دبلوماسية للعودة لطاولة المفاوضات
وفي الوقت ذاته تبذل مصر مساعي مكثفة للتوصل إلى تفاهمات تسهم في تقريب وجهات النظر بين إيران والولايات المتحدة والدول الأوروبية الثلاث E3، بهدف إتاحة الفرصة للحلول الدبلوماسية والحوار والعودة إلى طاولة المفاوضات والتوصل إلى تسوية توافقية بالنسبة الملف النووي الإيراني، ومنع التصعيد ودعم السلم والأمن على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.
اليورانيوم المخصب إلى 60%
وسيكون الاجتماع محورا لمناقشة تقرير الوكالة الأخير، الذي كشف عن زيادة إيران في إنتاج اليورانيوم المخصب إلى 60%، وهو مستوى قريب من 90% المطلوب للأغراض العسكرية، ما يثير تساؤلات حول الالتزامات الإيرانية بموجب الاتفاق النووي لعام 2015.
ومن المتوقع أن يؤكد عراقجي المفاوض الإيراني الرئيسي في الملف النووي، على الطبيعة السلمية للبرنامج الإيراني، مع الدعوة إلى ضمانات دولية ضد العقوبات الأوروبية المحتملة، أما غروسي فقد أعرب في تصريحات سابقة عن الحاجة إلى مزيد من الشفافية من إيران لتجنب قرارات مجلس الوكالة القادم، الذي قد يؤدي إلى إحالة الملف إلى مجلس الأمن الدولي وتفعيل آلية الإعادة الفورية للعقوبات.
The Egyptian capital, Cairo, will host an international meeting on Tuesday between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi, with the participation of Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti, to discuss developments in the Iranian nuclear program and enhance cooperation between Tehran and the agency, amid increasing international concerns over escalating regional tensions.
Communications to Bridge Views
Over the past few days, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti has conducted a series of communications with Abbas Araghchi and Rafael Grossi to prepare the conditions for resuming negotiations between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding the Iranian nuclear file, and to bridge the views among the concerned parties.
Diplomatic Efforts to Return to the Negotiation Table
At the same time, Egypt is making intensive efforts to reach understandings that contribute to bridging views between Iran, the United States, and the three European countries E3, with the aim of providing opportunities for diplomatic solutions, dialogue, and returning to the negotiation table to reach a consensual settlement regarding the Iranian nuclear file, preventing escalation, and supporting peace and security at both regional and international levels.
Uranium Enriched to 60%
The meeting will be centered around discussing the agency's recent report, which revealed Iran's increase in the production of uranium enriched to 60%, a level close to the 90% required for military purposes, raising questions about Iran's commitments under the 2015 nuclear agreement.
Araghchi, the chief Iranian negotiator on the nuclear file, is expected to reaffirm the peaceful nature of the Iranian program, while calling for international guarantees against potential European sanctions. Grossi has previously expressed the need for more transparency from Iran to avoid decisions by the agency's board, which could lead to referring the file to the United Nations Security Council and activating the mechanism for the immediate reinstatement of sanctions.
