وقّع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أمرًا تنفيذيًا خفّض بموجبه الرسوم الجمركية على السيارات اليابانية إلى (15%)؛ وذلك تنفيذًا لاتفاقية تجارية أبرمتها واشنطن مع طوكيو.
وبموجب الأمر التنفيذي ستُفرض على السيارات اليابانية رسوم جمركية نسبتها (15%) بدلًا من (27,5%) حاليًا، كما سيُحدّد سقف الرسوم الجمركية الأمريكية على العديد من السلع اليابانية الأخرى بنسبة (15%).
وستدخل هذه النسب الجديدة حيّز التنفيذ في غضون سبعة أيام من نشر القرار في الجريدة الرسمية الأمريكية.
U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order that reduced the tariffs on Japanese cars to (15%); this is in implementation of a trade agreement made by Washington with Tokyo.
Under the executive order, a tariff of (15%) will be imposed on Japanese cars instead of the current (27.5%), and the ceiling for U.S. tariffs on many other Japanese goods will also be set at (15%).
These new rates will come into effect within seven days of the decision being published in the U.S. official gazette.
