فيما أكدت وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية في غزة وفاة 10 فلسطينيين نتيجة التجويع وسوء التغذية، بينهم 3 أطفال خلال 24 ساعة، قتل جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، اليوم (السبت)، 18 فلسطينياً في التصعيد المتواصل للعمليات العسكرية في القطاع.
وأفادت مصادر فلسطينية باندلاع معارك عنيفة بين جيش الاحتلال والمقاومة الفلسطينية في حي الزيتون، إذ شوهدت أعمدة دخان كثيفة تتصاعد وسط أنباء عن خسائر في صفوف الجيش الإسرائيلي ومفقودين.
وذكرت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية وفلسطينية أن عملية نُفذت ضد الجيش الإسرائيلي الليلة الماضية أسفرت عن مقتل جندي وإصابة 11 آخرين، إضافة إلى فقدان 4 جنود عقب كمين نفذته الفصائل الفلسطينية في حي الزيتون، غير أن هذه الأنباء لم تؤكد بعد من أي من الأطراف.
وفي الجهة الشرقية لمخيم جباليا شمال القطاع، تجددت المواجهات الميدانية بالتزامن مع التقدم البري الإسرائيلي، فيما ركزت قوات الاحتلال على نسف المباني في أحياء الصفطاوي والزيتون والصبرة، في أوسع حملة تدمير تشهدها غزة منذ التصعيد الأخير.
وكانت الأمم المتحدة قد حذرت من أن أي هجوم إسرائيلي على مدينة غزة ستكون له تداعيات مروعة على السكان في جميع أنحاء القطاع في حال تصاعده، فيما شدد مكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية (أوتشا) على ضرورة تمكين عمليات الإغاثة المنقذة للحياة بشكل أكبر وعدم التراجع عنها، مؤكداً أن إجبار مئات الآلاف من السكان على النزوح جنوباً يُعد وصفة لكارثة أخرى، وقد يرقى إلى مستوى النقل القسري.
وفي السياق ذاته، أكدت وكالة الأمم المتحدة لغوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (أونروا)، اليوم، ضرورة رفع الحظر الإسرائيلي عن دخول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة. وأبدت الوكالة عبر حسابها في منصة «إكس» استعدادها لمواصلة عملها، موضحة أن مخازنها في مصر والأردن ممتلئة، وقادرة على استيعاب نحو 6,000 شاحنة.
وأشارت الأونروا إلى أن لديها نظاماً فعالاً لتوزيع المساعدات بأمان وعلى نطاق واسع، داعية إلى إدخال المساعدات المنقذة للحياة براً.
وفي هذه الأثناء، قال مصدر أمني إسرائيلي إن البنى التحتية باتت جاهزة لتحريك سكان غزة، وذلك بعد ساعات من إعلان الاحتلال أن مدينة غزة خارج نطاق أي هدنة إنسانية وتصنيفها منطقة قتال خطيرة.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed the death of 10 Palestinians due to starvation and malnutrition, including 3 children within 24 hours. Today (Saturday), the Israeli occupation army killed 18 Palestinians amid the ongoing escalation of military operations in the sector.
Palestinian sources reported fierce battles between the occupation army and the Palestinian resistance in the Zeitoun neighborhood, where thick columns of smoke were seen rising amidst reports of casualties among the Israeli army and missing persons.
Israeli and Palestinian media reported that an operation carried out against the Israeli army last night resulted in the death of one soldier and the injury of 11 others, in addition to the loss of 4 soldiers following an ambush executed by Palestinian factions in the Zeitoun neighborhood, although these reports have not yet been confirmed by either side.
In the eastern part of the Jabalia camp in the northern sector, field confrontations renewed concurrently with the Israeli ground advance, while the occupation forces focused on demolishing buildings in the neighborhoods of Shafaat, Zeitoun, and Sabra, in the largest destruction campaign witnessed in Gaza since the recent escalation.
The United Nations had warned that any Israeli attack on the city of Gaza would have horrific repercussions on the population throughout the sector if it escalated, while the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) emphasized the need to enable life-saving relief operations more and not to retreat from them, confirming that forcing hundreds of thousands of residents to flee south is a recipe for another disaster and may amount to forced relocation.
In the same context, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed today the necessity of lifting the Israeli ban on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. The agency expressed through its account on the "X" platform its readiness to continue its work, explaining that its warehouses in Egypt and Jordan are full and capable of accommodating about 6,000 trucks.
UNRWA pointed out that it has an effective system for distributing aid safely and on a large scale, calling for the entry of life-saving assistance by land.
Meanwhile, an Israeli security source stated that the infrastructure is ready to move the residents of Gaza, following hours after the occupation announced that the city of Gaza is outside the scope of any humanitarian ceasefire and classified it as a dangerous combat zone.
