أكد الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، اليوم (الجمعة)، أهمية حصر السلاح بيد الدولة اللبنانية، مشيداً بالقرارات الشجاعة للحكومة اللبنانية في اتجاه استعادة حصرية السلاح.
وشدد ماكرون، في منشورات على حسابه بمنصة «إكس»، على ضرورة تبنّي الخطة التي ستُعرض خلال اجتماع لتحقيق هذه الغاية، موضحاً أن الموفد الفرنسي جان إيف لودريان سيتوجّه إلى لبنان للعمل مع السلطات من أجل تنفيذ الأولويات فور اعتماد خطة الحكومة.
وأكد الرئيس الفرنسي كذلك ضرورة الانسحاب الكامل للقوات الإسرائيلية من جنوبي لبنان ووقف جميع الانتهاكات للسيادة، موضحاً أنهما شرطان أساسيان لتطبيق خطة الحكومة اللبنانية المتعلقة بحصرية القوى المسلحة.
ولفت إلى أن بلاده مستعدة للعب دور من أجل استعادة النقاط الخمس التي تحتلها إسرائيل، مبيناً أنه أبلغ نظيره اللبناني، جوزيف عون، بعزم باريس عقد مؤتمرين حول لبنان قبل نهاية العام: الأول لدعم القوات المسلحة، والثاني للنهوض وإعادة الإعمار.
وأطلق الجيش اللبناني، اليوم، المرحلة الجديدة من خطة جمع السلاح من المخيمات الفلسطينية، بعد أن دخل المرحلة الثانية ضمن مخيم برج البراجنة في الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت.
وأكدت مصادر لبنانية أن آليات الجيش وصلت إلى مخيم برج البراجنة، تمهيداً لتسليم سلاح حركة فتح ضمن خطة حصر السلاح بيد الدولة اللبنانية وتعزيز الأمن في المخيمات، مبينة أنه من المقرر أن تتسلم الوحدات العسكرية أسلحة موجودة داخل مخيمات برج البراجنة وصبرا وشاتيلا ومار إلياس في العاصمة بيروت، بالتنسيق مع حركة فتح.
وفي السياق ذاته، أعلن الأمن الفلسطيني في لبنان إنهاء تسليم السلاح في 6 مخيمات، مؤكداً تسليم السلاح الثقيل من مخيمات برج البراجنة وشاتيلا ومار إلياس.
وكان الجيش اللبناني قد أعلن، أمس (الخميس)، استلام كمية من السلاح الفلسطيني من المخيمات جنوبي الليطاني، استكمالاً لعملية تسلُّم السلاح من المخيمات الفلسطينية.
ويبلغ عدد الفلسطينيين المسجلين لدى وكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا) في لبنان 489293 فلسطينياً، إلا أن الأرقام الفعلية تشير إلى تقديرات أقل، إذ يُعتقد أن العدد الحقيقي يقارب 300 ألف، موزعين على 12 مخيماً: عين الحلوة (وهو الأكبر والمصنَّف «الأخطر»)، الميّة وميّة، الرشيدية، البص، البرج الشمالي، برج البراجنة، صبرا وشاتيلا، مار إلياس في بيروت، نهر البارد شمال لبنان، البداوي شمال لبنان، الويفل في بعلبك، وضبية في جبل لبنان.
French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed today (Friday) the importance of restricting weapons to the Lebanese state, praising the courageous decisions of the Lebanese government towards restoring the exclusivity of arms.
Macron emphasized, in posts on his account on the platform "X," the necessity of adopting the plan that will be presented during a meeting to achieve this goal, explaining that French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian will head to Lebanon to work with the authorities to implement priorities as soon as the government’s plan is approved.
The French president also affirmed the need for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon and the cessation of all violations of sovereignty, clarifying that these are essential conditions for implementing the Lebanese government's plan regarding the exclusivity of armed forces.
He pointed out that his country is ready to play a role in recovering the five points occupied by Israel, indicating that he informed his Lebanese counterpart, Joseph Aoun, of Paris's intention to hold two conferences on Lebanon before the end of the year: the first to support the armed forces, and the second for development and reconstruction.
The Lebanese army launched today a new phase of the plan to collect weapons from Palestinian camps, having entered the second phase within the Burj al-Barajneh camp in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Lebanese sources confirmed that army vehicles arrived at the Burj al-Barajneh camp in preparation for the handover of weapons from the Fatah movement as part of the plan to restrict weapons to the Lebanese state and enhance security in the camps, indicating that military units are scheduled to receive weapons located within the Burj al-Barajneh, Sabra, Shatila, and Mar Elias camps in the capital Beirut, in coordination with the Fatah movement.
In the same context, Palestinian security in Lebanon announced the completion of the handover of weapons in six camps, confirming the handover of heavy weapons from the Burj al-Barajneh, Shatila, and Mar Elias camps.
The Lebanese army had announced yesterday (Thursday) the receipt of a quantity of Palestinian weapons from the camps south of the Litani River, continuing the process of receiving weapons from the Palestinian camps.
The number of Palestinians registered with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Lebanon is 489,293, but actual figures indicate lower estimates, as the true number is believed to be around 300,000, distributed across 12 camps: Ain al-Hilweh (the largest and classified as the "most dangerous"), Mieh Mieh, Rashidiya, Baddawi, Burj al-Shamali, Burj al-Barajneh, Sabra and Shatila, Mar Elias in Beirut, Nahr al-Bared in northern Lebanon, Beddawi in northern Lebanon, Wavel in Baalbek, and Dbayeh in Mount Lebanon.
