على واقع مساعي بيروت لحصر السلاح بيد الدولة، أعلن رئيس لجنة الحوار اللبناني-الفلسطيني السفير رامز دمشقية، اليوم، (الخميس)، بدء تسلم الأسلحة من المخيمات الفلسطينية للسلطات اللبنانية وذلك في إطار المرحلة الأولى من خطة أقرها الجانبان قبل نحو ثلاثة أشهر.
وقال دمشقية، في بيان وزعته رئاسة الحكومة اللبنانية: تبدأ اليوم المرحلة الأولى من مسار تسليم الأسلحة من داخل المخيمات الفلسطينية، انطلاقاً من مخيم برج البراجنة في بيروت، مضيفاً: ستُسلَّم دفعة أولى من السلاح وتُوضع في عهدة الجيش اللبناني.
وأشار إلى أن عملية التسليم ستشكل الخطوة الأولى، على أن تُستكمل بتسلّم دفعات أخرى في الأسابيع القامة في مخيم برج البراجنة وباقي المخيمات، موضحاً أن عملية التسليم تأتي تنفيذاً لمقررات قمة الرئيسين اللبناني جوزيف عون والفلسطيني محمود عباس بتاريخ 21 مايو 2025، التي أكدت سيادة لبنان على كامل أراضيه وبسط سلطة الدولة وتطبيق مبدأ حصرية السلاح.
ولفت إلى أن هذه الخطوة تأتي تنفيذاً لمقررات الاجتماع المشترك للجنة الحوار اللبناني الفلسطيني بتاريخ 23 مايو 2025 برئاسة رئيس مجلس الوزراء نواف سلام، وبمشاركة ممثلين عن السلطات اللبنانية والفلسطينية، التي جرى الاتفاق خلالها على وضع آلية تنفيذية وجدول زمني واضح لمعالجة ملف السلاح الفلسطيني في لبنان.
ويعيش نحو 493 فلسطينياً في ظروف صعبة داخل 12 مخيماً يدارون أمنياً من جانب الفصائل الفلسطينية بموجب تفاهمات غير رسمية تعود إلى اتفاق القاهرة عام 1969، ولا يدخل الجيش ولا القوى الأمنية اللبنانية إلى المخيمات، بينما يفرض الجيش إجراءات مشددة حولها.
وكانت الحكومة اللبنانية كلفت الشهر الجاري الجيش بوضع خطة لنزع سلاح حزب الله.
In light of Beirut's efforts to confine weapons to the state, the head of the Lebanese-Palestinian dialogue committee, Ambassador Ramez Damascusieh, announced today (Thursday) the beginning of the handover of weapons from Palestinian camps to the Lebanese authorities as part of the first phase of a plan approved by both sides about three months ago.
Damascusieh stated in a statement distributed by the Lebanese government: "Today marks the beginning of the first phase of the process of handing over weapons from within the Palestinian camps, starting from the Burj al-Barajneh camp in Beirut." He added: "A first batch of weapons will be handed over and placed in the custody of the Lebanese army."
He indicated that the handover process will constitute the first step, to be followed by the receipt of additional batches in the coming weeks in Burj al-Barajneh and other camps, clarifying that the handover process comes in implementation of the resolutions from the summit of Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on May 21, 2025, which affirmed Lebanon's sovereignty over its entire territory, the establishment of state authority, and the application of the principle of exclusive weapons.
He pointed out that this step is in implementation of the resolutions from the joint meeting of the Lebanese-Palestinian dialogue committee on May 23, 2025, chaired by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, with the participation of representatives from the Lebanese and Palestinian authorities, during which an executive mechanism and a clear timetable were agreed upon to address the issue of Palestinian weapons in Lebanon.
Approximately 493 Palestinians live in difficult conditions inside 12 camps that are managed security-wise by Palestinian factions under informal understandings dating back to the Cairo Agreement of 1969, with the army and Lebanese security forces not entering the camps, while the army imposes strict measures around them.
The Lebanese government had tasked the army this month with developing a plan to disarm Hezbollah.
