استهجنت مصر بشدة السياسات التصعيدية الإسرائيلية والتوسع في احتلالها للأراضي الفلسطينية سواء في الضفة الغربية أو قطاع غزة.
وأكدت مصر في بيان رسمي صادر عن وزارة خارجيتها أن التمادي في الجرائم الممنهجة ضد المدنيين الأبرياء ومواصلة التخطيط لتهجير الفلسطينيين من أرضهم يؤدي إلى تأجيج الوضع المتأزم، ويعكس تجاهلاً كاملاً من قبل إسرائيل لجهود الوسطاء والصفقة المطروحة لوقف إطلاق النار وإطلاق سراح الأسرى وتدفق المساعدات الإنسانية، وإنهاء الحرب ورفع المعاناة الإنسانية عن الشعب الفلسطيني بعد ما يقرب من عامين من الصمود أمام تجاوزات إسرائيلية صارخة.
وحذرت مصر من أن نهج غطرسة القوة، والإمعان في انتهاك القانون الدولي لخدمة مصالح سياسية ضيقة أو معتقدات واهية، إنما هو خطأ جسيم في الحسابات، ناتج عن تراجع وضعف منظومة العدالة الدولية، وسيؤدي إلى مزيد من التصعيد في المنطقة، وستستمر عواقبه الوخيمة على العلاقات بين شعوب المنطقة، بل وعلى الأمن والسلم الإقليميين والدوليين لسنوات طويلة.
وطالبت المجتمع الدولي بالتدخل بصورة عاجلة لوضع حد للحرب الإسرائيلية على قطاع غزة ووقف الجرائم المرتكبة ضد المدنيين الفلسطينيين الأبرياء في القطاع.
ودعت مصر مجلس الأمن إلى الاضطلاع بمسؤولياته في حفظ السلم والأمن الدوليين لمنع مزيد من تدهور الوضع في المنطقة وتفاقم حالة عدم الاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط نتيجة للانتهاكات الإسرائيلية السافرة وغير المسبوقة للقوانين والأعراف الدولية.
وقالت مصر إنها تتابع بقلق بالغ مضي إسرائيل قدماً في تنفيذ خطة هجوم لقوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلية تستهدف السيطرة على المدن في قطاع غزة في مسعى جديد لتكريس احتلالها غير الشرعي للأراضي الفلسطينية، وفي انتهاك صارخ للقانون الدولي والقانون الدولي الإنساني.
Egypt strongly condemned the Israeli escalation policies and the expansion of its occupation of Palestinian territories, whether in the West Bank or Gaza Strip.
Egypt emphasized in an official statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the continuation of systematic crimes against innocent civilians and the ongoing planning to displace Palestinians from their land leads to exacerbating the tense situation and reflects a complete disregard by Israel for the efforts of mediators and the proposed deal to cease fire, release prisoners, allow the flow of humanitarian aid, end the war, and alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people after nearly two years of steadfastness against blatant Israeli violations.
Egypt warned that the approach of power arrogance and the persistent violation of international law to serve narrow political interests or unfounded beliefs is a grave miscalculation, resulting from the retreat and weakness of the international justice system, and will lead to further escalation in the region, with dire consequences for relations among the peoples of the region, as well as for regional and international security and peace for many years to come.
Egypt called on the international community to intervene urgently to put an end to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and to stop the crimes committed against innocent Palestinian civilians in the sector.
Egypt urged the Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security to prevent further deterioration of the situation in the region and the worsening of instability in the Middle East due to the unprecedented and blatant Israeli violations of international laws and norms.
Egypt stated that it is closely monitoring with great concern Israel's advance in implementing an attack plan by the Israeli occupation forces targeting the control of cities in the Gaza Strip in a new attempt to entrench its illegal occupation of Palestinian territories, in blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
