تناقش حكومة نتنياهو، اليوم (الخميس)، خطة احتلال غزة التي ستعرض اليوم على الحكومة الإسرائيلية للموافقة عليها، بحسب هيئة البث الإسرائيلية وذلك بعد أن وافق عليها وزير الدفاع يسرائيل كاتس وأطلق عليها اسم «عربات جدعون 2». وقال: «الجيش الإسرائيلي بدأ عملياته على مشارف مدينة غزة في إطار خطة السيطرة عليها».
ونقلت صحيفة يديعوت أحرونوت عن مسؤولين كبار في الحكومة والجيش الإسرائيليين قولهم إن إسرائيل لم تقدم ردا واضحا على صفقة «الرهائن»، ولا أحد يعرف نية نتنياهو ورون ديرمر بشأن الصفقة، مضيفين: هناك احتمال لتوجه وفد تفاوضي للدوحة نهاية الأسبوع أو الأسبوع القادم.
وأشارت إلى أن كل الأطراف تدعم الصفقة وتقول إنه يمكن إبرامها بعد موافقة نتنياهو، لكن رئيس الوزراء يدعي أن المطلوب الآن اتفاق شامل، وهو أوضح سابقا أهمية التقدم في صفقات جزئية، مؤكدين أن كل شيء يعتمد الآن على نتنياهو وديرمر رغم أن حركة حماس تبدي مرونة كبيرة.
ولفت المسؤولون إلى أن نتنياهو إذا أراد اتفاقا فهذا ممكن، وإلا فإنه سيقول إن الاتفاق جزئي وانتهى الأمر.
في الوقت ذاته، ذكرت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية أن عشرات الإسرائيليين يتظاهرون قبالة مقر حزب الليكود في تل أبيب للمطالبة بصفقة تبادل، موضحة أن المتظاهرين رفعوا شعارات تقول إن الضغط العسكري يؤدي إلى مقتل المخطوفين والاتفاق ينقذهم.
وأشارت وسائل الإعلام الإسرائيلية إلى أن العشرات من أمهات الجنود يشاركن في وقفة احتجاجية قبالة منزل وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي.
The Netanyahu government is discussing today (Thursday) the plan to occupy Gaza, which will be presented to the Israeli government for approval, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, after it was approved by Defense Minister Israel Katz and named "Gideon's Chariots 2." He stated, "The Israeli army has begun its operations on the outskirts of Gaza City as part of the plan to take control of it."
The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that senior officials in the Israeli government and army said that Israel has not provided a clear response regarding the "hostage" deal, and no one knows Netanyahu and Ron Dermer's intentions regarding the deal, adding: There is a possibility of a negotiating delegation heading to Doha at the end of this week or next week.
It noted that all parties support the deal and say it can be concluded after Netanyahu's approval, but the Prime Minister claims that what is needed now is a comprehensive agreement, having previously clarified the importance of progress in partial deals, emphasizing that everything now depends on Netanyahu and Dermer, even though Hamas is showing great flexibility.
Officials pointed out that if Netanyahu wants an agreement, it is possible; otherwise, he will say that the agreement is partial and that will be the end of it.
At the same time, Israeli media reported that dozens of Israelis are protesting in front of the Likud party headquarters in Tel Aviv, demanding a prisoner exchange deal, clarifying that the protesters raised slogans stating that military pressure leads to the deaths of the captives and that the agreement saves them.
Israeli media also indicated that dozens of mothers of soldiers are participating in a protest in front of the Israeli Defense Minister's house.
