يعقد وزير الخارجية السوري أسعد الشيباني، والمبعوث الأمريكي إلى سورية توم براك، ووزير الشؤون الإستراتيجية الإسرائيلي رون ديرمر الليلة في العاصمة الفرنسية باريس لقاءً، بحسب موقع «آكسيوس».
ونقل الموقع عن مصدرين مطلعين أن اللقاء الإسرائيلي-السوري سيناقش الجوانب الأمنية وترتيبات الحدود بين البلدين، مبيناً أن المفاوضات السابقة ركزت على تخفيف التوتر بين البلدين.
وذكرت مصادر إسرائيلية لموقع «آكسيوس» أن الطرفين كانا يعتزمان الاتفاق على فرض الأمن في جنوب سورية ووقف إطلاق النار، وبحسب الموقع فإن إدارة ترمب تحاول التوسط بين إسرائيل وسورية للتوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن إنشاء ممر إنساني من إسرائيل إلى مدينة السويداء جنوب سورية، لتقديم المساعدات.
وكان من المقرر عقد هذا الاجتماع الأسبوع الماضي، ولكن تم تأجيله في اللحظة الأخيرة، وستكون هذه هي المرة الثانية خلال شهر التي يلتقي فيها ديرمر والشيباني برعاية أمريكية، بعد ما يقرب من 25 عاماً من انقطاع دبلوماسي شبه كامل بين البلدين.
وكانت وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين السورية قد أعلنت عن عقد اجتماع مع الأمم المتحدة لرفع الاستجابة الإنسانية في محافظات الجنوب، لاسيما في السويداء ودرعا.
ودعت الوزارة في بيان إلى تكثيف الاستجابة الإنسانية للمتضررين في كل من السويداء ودرعا، وتعزيز مرونة آليات التنسيق والبرمجة، وتكثيف التواصل مع الدول المانحة؛ بهدف زيادة حجم التمويلات الموجهة للبرامج الإنسانية، مثمّنة مبادرة برنامج الأغذية العالمي بالتخطيط لتطبيق نظام التوزيع الشامل للمساعدات الغذائية، التي حصلت على الموافقة الرسمية من الحكومة السورية.
The Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani, the U.S. envoy to Syria Tom Brack, and the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer are holding a meeting tonight in the French capital, Paris, according to the Axios website.
The site reported from two informed sources that the Israeli-Syrian meeting will discuss security aspects and border arrangements between the two countries, indicating that previous negotiations focused on reducing tensions between the two nations.
Israeli sources told Axios that both parties intended to agree on enforcing security in southern Syria and a ceasefire. According to the site, the Trump administration is trying to mediate between Israel and Syria to reach an agreement on establishing a humanitarian corridor from Israel to the city of Sweida in southern Syria to provide aid.
This meeting was scheduled for last week but was postponed at the last minute. This will be the second time in a month that Dermer and al-Shibani meet under U.S. auspices, after nearly 25 years of nearly complete diplomatic break between the two countries.
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates had announced a meeting with the United Nations to enhance humanitarian response in the southern provinces, particularly in Sweida and Daraa.
The ministry called in a statement for intensifying humanitarian response for those affected in both Sweida and Daraa, enhancing the resilience of coordination and programming mechanisms, and increasing communication with donor countries to boost the funding directed towards humanitarian programs, appreciating the initiative of the World Food Program to plan for the implementation of a comprehensive distribution system for food aid, which has received official approval from the Syrian government.
