أكد وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي اعتزاز مصر بعلاقاتها التاريخية والاستراتيجية مع روسيا، وما تشهده هذه العلاقات من تطور مطرد في مختلف المسارات، خصوصاً في إطار اتفاقية الشراكة الاستراتيجية الشاملة التي تمثّل الإطار الحاكم للتعاون الثنائي.
وتناول وزير الخارجية المصري، خلال اتصال له مع وزير خارجية روسيا الاتحادية سيرجي لافروف في إطار التشاور الدوري والتنسيق المستمر بين البلدين حول العلاقات الثنائية والقضايا محل الاهتمام المشترك، مسار العلاقات الثنائية بين مصر وروسيا، إذ أعرب الوزيران عن ارتياحهما لما تشهده العلاقات من تطور ملموس، مؤكدين الحرص المتبادل على مواصلة تعزيز التعاون القائم في مختلف المجالات.
وأعرب وزير الخارجية عن التقدير للزخم القائم في آليات التشاور السياسي واللجان الفنية المشتركة، وما تعكسه من إرادة سياسية قوية للارتقاء بالتعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري والعلمي بين البلدين.
وأشار عبدالعاطي إلى ما تحقق من تقدم ملموس في عدد من مجالات التعاون الاستراتيجي، وفي مقدمتها مشروع محطة الضبعة للطاقة النووية، كما تناول مشروع المنطقة الصناعية الروسية بالمنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس، وسبل دعم الاستثمارات الصناعية الروسية في الصناعات المختلفة.
وتناول الاتصال مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية وفى مقدمتها الوضع في غزة، إذ استعرض الوزير عبدالعاطي جهود الوساطة الحثيثة التي تبذلها مصر بالتعاون مع قطر والولايات المتحدة للتوصل إلى وقف لإطلاق النار، وإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية، وإطلاق سراح عدد من الرهائن والأسرى، مشيراً إلى وجود تقدم مهم تم إحرازه في هذا الصدد، وأنه انعكس في المشاورات الأخيرة التي تمت بالقاهرة مع الوفد الفلسطيني، والتي تركزت على المقترح المطروح من المبعوث الأمريكي الخاص للشرق الأوسط ستيف ويتكوف، الذى وافقت عليه حركة حماس، مؤكداً أن الكرة أصبحت في ملعب إسرائيل.
وأشار وزير الخارجية المصري إلى ضرورة الضغط على إسرائيل للموافقة على المقترح بما يسهم في التخفيف من تداعيات الكارثة الإنسانية في غزة، كما تناول وزير الخارجية التحضيرات الجارية لاستضافة المؤتمر الدولي للتعافي المبكر وإعادة الإعمار فور التوصل إلى اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار.
كما تناول الاتصال عدداً من الملفات محل الاهتمام المشترك، وعلى رأسها ملف المياه، إذ تناول عبدالعاطي شواغل مصر فيما يتعلق بملف نهر النيل والأمن المائي المصري، وأطلع نظيره الروسي على موقف مصر المستند الى ضرورة الالتزام بقواعد القانون الدولي فيما يتعلق بالموارد المائية المشتركة.
وأوضح وزير الخارجية المصري ضرورة التعاون لتحقيق المنفعة المشتركة على أساس القانون الدولي، مشدداً على رفض الإجراءات الأحادية المخالفة للقانون الدولي، ومؤكداً أن مصر ستتخذ كافة التدابير المكفولة بموجب القانون الدولي لحماية أمنها المائي.
وفيما يتعلق بالملف النووي الإيراني أكد عبدالعاطي أهمية الالتزام بالمسارات الدبلوماسية، وتهيئة الظروف اللازمة لاستئناف التعاون بين ايران والوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، بما يُسهم في تعزيز الثقة المتبادلة، وخلق مناخ مواتٍ لتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي.
وعلى الصعيد الدولي أطلع الوزير لافروف الوزير عبدالعاطي على نتائج القمة الأمريكية-الروسية التي انعقدت في ألاسكا يوم 15 أغسطس الجاري، منوهاً بما تمثله من إسهام في تهيئة مناخ مواتٍ لمعالجة الأزمة الأوكرانية.
ومن جانبه أعرب الوزير عبدالعاطي عن متابعة مصر باهتمام لمجريات القمة، مؤكداً أهمية التوصل لتسوية سياسية شاملة وإعلاء الحلول الدبلوماسية سبيلاً أساسيّاً لوضع حد للنزاعات.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Atti, affirmed Egypt's pride in its historical and strategic relations with Russia, and the steady development these relations are witnessing across various pathways, especially within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement that represents the governing framework for bilateral cooperation.
During a call with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as part of the regular consultations and ongoing coordination between the two countries regarding bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest, the Egyptian Foreign Minister discussed the trajectory of bilateral relations between Egypt and Russia. The two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the tangible development in relations, emphasizing their mutual commitment to continue enhancing existing cooperation in various fields.
The Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for the momentum in political consultation mechanisms and joint technical committees, which reflect a strong political will to elevate economic, commercial, and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
Abdel Atti pointed to the significant progress achieved in several areas of strategic cooperation, foremost among them the El Dabaa nuclear power plant project. He also discussed the Russian industrial zone project in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and ways to support Russian industrial investments in various industries.
The call addressed recent developments in the regional situation, particularly the situation in Gaza. Minister Abdel Atti reviewed Egypt's diligent mediation efforts in cooperation with Qatar and the United States to reach a ceasefire, facilitate humanitarian aid, and secure the release of a number of hostages and prisoners, noting that significant progress has been made in this regard, which was reflected in the recent consultations held in Cairo with the Palestinian delegation, focusing on the proposal put forth by the U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Hanke, which Hamas has agreed to, emphasizing that the ball is now in Israel's court.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister highlighted the necessity of pressuring Israel to agree to the proposal, which would help alleviate the repercussions of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza. He also discussed the ongoing preparations to host the international conference for early recovery and reconstruction as soon as a ceasefire agreement is reached.
The call also addressed several files of mutual interest, chief among them the water issue. Abdel Atti discussed Egypt's concerns regarding the Nile River file and Egyptian water security, informing his Russian counterpart of Egypt's position based on the necessity of adhering to international law regarding shared water resources.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister emphasized the need for cooperation to achieve mutual benefits based on international law, stressing the rejection of unilateral actions that violate international law, and affirming that Egypt will take all measures guaranteed under international law to protect its water security.
Regarding the Iranian nuclear file, Abdel Atti affirmed the importance of adhering to diplomatic pathways and creating the necessary conditions to resume cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, which contributes to building mutual trust and creating a favorable climate for achieving regional security and stability.
On the international front, Minister Lavrov informed Minister Abdel Atti about the outcomes of the U.S.-Russian summit held in Alaska on August 15, highlighting its contribution to creating a favorable climate for addressing the Ukrainian crisis.
For his part, Minister Abdel Atti expressed Egypt's keen interest in the developments of the summit, emphasizing the importance of reaching a comprehensive political settlement and prioritizing diplomatic solutions as a fundamental means to put an end to conflicts.
