أكد مندوب الأردن لدى جامعة الدول العربية السفير أمجد العضايلة، رئيس الدورة العادية 163 لمجلس الجامعة العربية على مستوى المندوبين الدائمين، أن إعلان حكومة الاحتلال نيتها إعادة احتلال قطاع غزة والسيطرة عليه بالكامل يمثل تصعيداً خطيراً وعدواناً غير مشروع، لما يحمله من تكريس لنهج العدوان والغطرسة وضرب لكل مقررات الشرعية الدولية وخرق فاضح للقانون الدولي والقانون الدولي الانساني.
جاء ذلك خلال أعمال الدورة غير العادية لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية على مستوى المندوبين الدائمين، والتي تعقد برئاسة المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، وبناء على طلب دولة فلسطين وتأييد الدول العربية، لبحث التصدي لخطة إسرائيل لإعادة احتلال قطاع غزة والسيطرة الكاملة عليه، وفقًا لقرار أقرته حكومة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي المصغرة «الكابينت» بقيادة رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو.
وقال الدبلوماسي الأردني، في كلمة المملكة أمام مجلس الجامعة العربية، إن الأردن يرفض ويدين بشدة هذا المخطط، لما يشكله من تقويض لحل الدولتين وحق الشعب الفلسطيني في إقامة دولته المستقلة على خط الرابع من حزيران 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
وشدد على أن مواجهة الظلم والعدوان تتطلب موقفاً دولياً حازماً يرفض سياسات الاحتلال، ويوقف جرائمه التي ترتقي إلى «جرائم ضد الإنسانية» وإن استمرار الحصار والتجويع والقتل لا يولد إلا مزيداً من «الإحباط والكراهية»، ويهدد أمن المنطقة والعالم.
وطالب العضايلة بضرورة تحرك دولي عاجل وجاد لوقف العدوان الإسرائيلي على الشعب الفلسطيني، ودعم جهود الوساطة المصرية القطرية الأمريكية للتوصل إلى وقف دائم لإطلاق النار، وتنفيذ اتفاق تبادل الأسرى، وضمان إدخال المساعدات الإنسانية الكافية والعاجلة والمستدامة إلى القطاع.
وركز على أن إسرائيل تواصل انتهاكاتها المرفوضة عربياً ودولياً ضد الأرض والشعب الفلسطيني، في تحدٍ صارخ للقانون الدولي وقرارات الشرعية الدولية، ماضيةً في مخططات أحادية لترسيخ احتلال غير شرعي وتوسيع عدوانها وفرض سيطرتها العسكرية.
وأشار مندوب الأردن بالجامعة العربية إلى الرأي الاستشاري لمحكمة العدل الدولية، الذي أكد عدم شرعية الاحتلال الإسرائيلي للأراضي الفلسطينية، وضرورة إنهائه فوراً، باعتباره انتهاكاً للقانون الدولي ولحق الشعب الفلسطيني في تقرير مصيره.
وعقد اليوم (الأحد)، مجلس الجامعة العربية دورة غير عادية على مستوى المندوبين الدائمين، برئاسة الأردن، بناء على طلب دولة فلسطين وتأييد الدول الأعضاء، وبحضور الأمين العام المساعد لشؤون فلسطين والأراضي العربية المُحتلة السفير سعيد أبو علي.
The Jordanian Ambassador to the Arab League, Amjad Al-Adailah, who is also the President of the 163rd Ordinary Session of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent representatives, confirmed that the announcement by the occupying government of its intention to reoccupy the Gaza Strip and take full control over it represents a serious escalation and an unlawful aggression, as it embodies a consolidation of the approach of aggression and arrogance, undermining all resolutions of international legitimacy and constituting a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
This came during the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent representatives, which is held under the presidency of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and at the request of the State of Palestine with the support of Arab countries, to discuss countering Israel's plan to reoccupy the Gaza Strip and take complete control over it, according to a decision approved by the Israeli occupation government's security cabinet led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Jordanian diplomat stated, in the Kingdom's speech before the Arab League Council, that Jordan rejects and strongly condemns this scheme, as it undermines the two-state solution and the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He emphasized that confronting injustice and aggression requires a firm international stance that rejects the policies of occupation and halts its crimes, which rise to the level of "crimes against humanity." He noted that the continuation of the siege, starvation, and killing only generates more "frustration and hatred," threatening the security of the region and the world.
Al-Adailah called for urgent and serious international action to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, support Egyptian, Qatari, and American mediation efforts to reach a permanent ceasefire, implement the prisoner exchange agreement, and ensure the entry of sufficient, urgent, and sustainable humanitarian aid into the sector.
He focused on the fact that Israel continues its unacceptable violations, both Arab and international, against the land and the Palestinian people, in a blatant challenge to international law and international legitimacy resolutions, proceeding with unilateral plans to entrench illegal occupation and expand its aggression and impose its military control.
The Jordanian representative at the Arab League referred to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which confirmed the illegality of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and the necessity of ending it immediately, as it constitutes a violation of international law and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.
Today (Sunday), the Arab League Council held an extraordinary session at the level of permanent representatives, chaired by Jordan, at the request of the State of Palestine and with the support of member states, and in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine and the Occupied Arab Territories, Ambassador Saeed Abu Ali.
