Iranian sources revealed that Tehran has taken steps to hide its surviving nuclear scientists from recent Israeli assassination attempts. A senior Iranian official stated that most of these scientists have left their homes and university jobs and have been relocated to safe places in Tehran or northern coastal cities, where they live with their families, according to the British newspaper "The Telegraph."
The official added that those who were teaching at universities have been replaced by individuals with no connection to the nuclear program.
For their part, Israeli experts mentioned that a new generation of Iranian nuclear scientists is ready to take over the work of those who were killed, describing them as "dead men" or "walking dead," despite the tight security measures that include providing safe houses and round-the-clock protection.
Israeli sources expressed concerns that some of the surviving scientists may have replaced their deceased colleagues in the Iranian nuclear program at the Organization for Defensive Innovation and Research, known in Persian as SPND.
During the confrontations that erupted on June 13, Israel carried out assassinations of dozens of Iranian nuclear scientists and military leaders, striking several military sites, while the United States delivered strong blows to prominent nuclear sites and facilities.
On another note, the Tasnim news agency reported today (Sunday) that an attack targeted a police station in the southeastern part of the country, resulting in the death of a security personnel and three militants.
The agency clarified that the attack was carried out by elements of the "Army of Oppression" who attempted to storm the Saravan police station in Sistan and Baluchestan province before being confronted by security forces.
The attack resulted in the death of three attackers and the arrest of two others, and it was confirmed that a security personnel was killed in the incident.
