هاجمت المعارضة الإسرائيلية قرار الحكومة إعادة احتلال قطاع غزة بالكامل، ووصف زعيم المعارضة يائير لابيد، القرار بأنه كارثة ستقود إلى سلسلة من الأزمات.
واتهم رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو بالانصياع لضغوط وزيرَي الأمن القومي والمالية. واعتبر قرار الكابينت احتلال غزة خطوة مناقضة لتوصيات القيادات العسكرية والأمنية.
وحذّر لابيد من أن القرار سيطيل أمد الحرب، وسيؤدي إلى مقتل المزيد من الرهائن والجنود، معتبرا أن حماس تسعى إلى إبقاء إسرائيل عالقة ميدانيا من دون هدف واضح أو رؤية لما بعد المعركة.
وكان المجلس الوزاري الإسرائيلي المصغر للشؤون السياسية والأمنية وافق على خطة للسيطرة على غزة، بحسب ما قاله مكتب رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو.
وذكر مكتب نتنياهو أن الحكومة الأمنية أقرت اقتراح رئيس الوزراء، وأوضح أن الجيش الإسرائيلي سيتأهب للسيطرة على مدينة غزة.
وتتضمن خطة الكابينت الإسرائيلي إعادة احتلال قطاع غزة بالكامل على مراحل، وسيتم نقل سكان مدينة غزة إلى الجنوب.
وأفاد إعلام إسرائيلي عن توقعات بتجنيد 6 فرق عسكرية للسيطرة على كامل قطاع غزة. ونقل موقع «أكسيوس» الإخباري عن مسؤول إسرائيلي أن حصارا سيفرض على مسلحي حماس هناك.
ويشكل القرار الإسرائيلي الذي اتخذ في وقت مبكر من اليوم (الجمعة)، تصعيداً آخر للهجوم على غزة الذي دام 22 شهراً، والذي بدأ رداً على هجوم حماس ضد مستوطنات إسرائيلية في 7 أكتوبر.
يذكر أن توسيع العمليات العسكرية في غزة سيعرض حياة عدد لا يحصى من الفلسطينيين والأسرى الإسرائيليين المتبقين البالغ عددهم نحو 20 شخصا للخطر، بينما يزيد من عزلة إسرائيل دوليا. وتسيطر إسرائيل بالفعل على نحو ثلاثة أرباع القطاع المدمر.
وتخشى عائلات الأسرى المحتجزين في غزة من أن يؤدي التصعيد إلى هلاك أحبائهم، واحتج بعضهم خارج اجتماع مجلس الوزراء الأمني في القدس. كما عارض مسؤولون أمنيون إسرائيليون كبار سابقون الخطة، محذرين من ورطة عسكرية بفائدة عسكرية إضافية قليلة.
