قتل 20 فلسطينياً وأصيب العشرات بجروح، في ساعة متأخرة من ليل الثلاثاء/الأربعاء، بسبب انقلاب شاحنة تحمل مساعدات غذائية في مدينة دير البلح وسط قطاع غزة.
وأفادت مصادر طبية فلسطينية بأن الحادثة وقعت أثناء محاولة حشود من السكان الوصول إلى شاحنة مساعدات كانت تسلك طريقا غير مهيأ، ما أدى إلى انقلابها وسط تجمعات المدنيين.
وذكرت أن معظم الضحايا من سكان المناطق المتضررة الذين يعانون من انعدام الأمن الغذائي الشديد وقتلوا خلال انتظارهم للحصول على مساعدات من الشاحنات.
واتهم المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي جيش الاحتلال بالتسبب في الحادثة، مؤكدا أن الشاحنة أُجبرت على دخول المدينة عبر طرق غير آمنة سبق أن تعرضت للقصف، ولم تُؤهّل لتكون صالحة لحركة المرور.

وأضاف أن الجيش الإسرائيلي يعمد إلى هندسة الفوضى والتجويع من خلال منع تنظيم عملية توزيع المساعدات وتركها تمر في ظروف عشوائية وخطرة.
وأكد أن الحادثة جاءت نتيجة مباشرة لسياسة التجويع الجماعي، التي اتهم فيها السلطات الإسرائيلية بعرقلة إدخال المساعدات بشكل منظم، وفرض مسارات خطرة على الشاحنات التي تنقل الغذاء، ما يدفع المدنيين المحاصرين للتدافع حولها.
وكان المفوض العام لوكالة الأمم المتحدة لغوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (أونروا) فيليب لازاريني، قال أمس(الثلاثاء): إن الجوع بات القاتل الجديد في غزة، وشدد على أنه حان الوقت لتقديم المساعدات بشكل آمن ودون عوائق.
وأضاف في منشور على منصة إكس: «حان الوقت لتقديم المساعدات بشكل آمن، ودون عوائق، وبكرامة». وأكد ضرورة السماح للأمم المتحدة وشركائها للقيام بعملهم.
وشهد قطاع غزة سلسلة من الحوادث المماثلة في الأشهر الأخيرة، أسفرت عن مقتل وإصابة مئات الأشخاص خلال محاولات الحصول على الغذاء، وسط ما تصفه منظمات إنسانية بأوضاع كارثية وغير مسبوقة.
Twenty Palestinians were killed and dozens were injured late Tuesday/Wednesday night due to the overturning of a truck carrying food aid in the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip.
Palestinian medical sources reported that the incident occurred while crowds of residents were trying to reach a truck of aid that was taking an unprepared route, leading to its overturning amidst gatherings of civilians.
It was noted that most of the victims were residents of the affected areas suffering from severe food insecurity and were killed while waiting to receive aid from the trucks.
The government media office accused the occupation army of causing the incident, confirming that the truck was forced to enter the city via unsafe routes that had previously been bombed and were not qualified for traffic.

It added that the Israeli army deliberately engineers chaos and starvation by preventing the organization of the aid distribution process and allowing it to occur under random and dangerous conditions.
It emphasized that the incident was a direct result of the policy of collective starvation, in which Israeli authorities are accused of obstructing the organized entry of aid and imposing dangerous routes on trucks carrying food, which drives besieged civilians to rush around them.
The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, stated yesterday (Tuesday) that hunger has become the new killer in Gaza, stressing that it is time to deliver aid safely and without obstacles.
He added in a post on X platform: "It is time to deliver aid safely, without obstacles, and with dignity." He affirmed the necessity of allowing the United Nations and its partners to carry out their work.
The Gaza Strip has witnessed a series of similar incidents in recent months, resulting in the deaths and injuries of hundreds of people during attempts to obtain food, amidst what humanitarian organizations describe as catastrophic and unprecedented conditions.
