دعا وزير الخارجية الألماني يوهان فاديفول، اليوم (الخميس)، إلى ضرورة البدء في عملية الاعتراف بدولة فلسطينية من الآن، وذلك قبيل إجراء محادثات في إسرائيل ومع السلطة الفلسطينية اليوم وغداً (الجمعة).
وحذر فاديفول في تصريحات لمدونة «برلين بلاي بوك» التابعة لموقع «بوليتيكو» الإخباري، من ضم إسرائيلي محتمل لمناطق فلسطينية، مؤكداً أن «هناك ساسة في إسرائيل يقولون باستمرار إننا سنضمها».
وقال وزير الخارجية الألماني:«لقد قرّر الكنيست ذلك بالفعل، بالطبع هذا لا يجوز، وهو غير مُبرّر بالقانون الدولي أيضا»، مضيفا: أن ألمانيا لا تُوافق على المستوطنات غير الشرعية في الضفة الغربية.
ولفت إلى أن حل الدولتين التفاوضي يظل هو المسار الوحيد الذي يمكن أن يوفر للشعب على الجانبين حياة مفعمة بالسلام والأمن والكرامة، مشيراً إلى أن «الهدف الرئيسي هو بالتأكيد وقف إطلاق النار».
وطالب الوزير المنتمي للحزب المسيحي الديمقراطي الذي يتزعمه المستشار فريدريش ميرتس بإدخال المزيد من المساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة، مشدداً بالقول: «عدد الضحايا في قطاع غزة مُرتفع للغاية، نحن بحاجة إلى رفق بالسكان هناك».
وكان الحزب الاشتراكي الديمقراطي - الشريك في الائتلاف الحاكم الألماني حث على ممارسة المزيد من الضغوط على الحكومة الإسرائيلية للسماح بوصول المزيد من المساعدات برا إلى سكان قطاع غزة المتضررين.
وطالبت نائبة رئيس الكتلة البرلمانية للحزب زيمتي مولر في تصريحات لمحطة «إيه ر دي» الألمانية التلفزيونية اليوم (الخميس) بممارسة «ضغط حقيقي» لإنهاء المعاناة في قطاع غزة، مطالبة بعدم السماح بعد الآن بتوريد أسلحة تُستَخدم في أعمال تنتهك القانون الدولي، مثل تلك التي تُنفذ في قطاع غزة.
وكان أكثر من 200 فنان وإعلامي ألماني قد وجهوا رسالة إلى المستشار الألماني فريدريش ميرتس مطالبين بوقف توريد أسلحة لإسرائيل وفرض عقوبات عليها.
The German Foreign Minister, Johan Wadephul, called today (Thursday) for the necessity to begin the process of recognizing a Palestinian state from now on, just before holding talks in Israel and with the Palestinian Authority today and tomorrow (Friday).
Wadephul warned in statements to the "Berlin Playbook" blog affiliated with the news site "Politico" about a potential Israeli annexation of Palestinian areas, emphasizing that "there are politicians in Israel who continuously say that we will annex it."
The German Foreign Minister said: "The Knesset has already decided that, of course, this is not permissible, and it is also unjustified under international law," adding that Germany does not approve of the illegal settlements in the West Bank.
He pointed out that the negotiated two-state solution remains the only path that can provide people on both sides with a life filled with peace, security, and dignity, noting that "the main goal is certainly a ceasefire."
The minister, who belongs to the Christian Democratic Union led by Chancellor Friedrich Merz, called for increased humanitarian aid to Gaza, emphasizing: "The number of casualties in the Gaza Strip is extremely high; we need to show compassion for the population there."
The Social Democratic Party - a partner in the German governing coalition - urged for more pressure to be exerted on the Israeli government to allow more aid to reach the affected residents of the Gaza Strip by land.
Deputy Chair of the parliamentary group of the party, Zimti Müller, called in statements to the German television station "ARD" today (Thursday) for "real pressure" to end the suffering in the Gaza Strip, demanding that no more weapons be supplied that are used in actions violating international law, such as those being carried out in the Gaza Strip.
More than 200 German artists and media figures have sent a letter to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz demanding a halt to arms supplies to Israel and the imposition of sanctions against it.
