أعرب رئيس الوزراء الفلسطيني محمد مصطفى عن امتنان دولة فلسطين العميق للمملكة العربية السعودية والجمهورية الفرنسية، لقيادتهما وتحملهما المسؤولية التي أوكلتها إليهما الجمعية العامة بالرئاسة المشتركة للمؤتمر الدولي رفيع المستوى لتسوية القضية الفلسطينية بالحلول السلمية وتنفيذ حل الدولتين، الذي عقد اليوم في نيويورك.
وأكد أن هذا المؤتمر الدولي التاريخي يحمل وعدا للشعب الفلسطيني بأن الظلم التاريخي الذي لحق به يجب أن ينتهي، وقال: «هذا المؤتمر هو رسالة للشعب الفلسطيني بأن العالم يدعمنا في تحقيق حقوقنا في الحياة والحرية والكرامة على أرضنا، وحقنا في دولة ذات سيادة، وأيضا رسالة للإسرائيليين بأن هناك دربا للسلام والتكامل الإقليمي، سيتحقق عبر استقلالنا وليس تدميرنا».
كما رحب رئيس الوزراء الفلسطيني بالنهج الذي اتخذه هذا المؤتمر لتحديد المطلوب من جميع الأطراف، والنهوض بالعمل الملموس والحاسم، بآليات واضحة، ذات أطر زمنية محددة.
The Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammad Mustafa, expressed the deep gratitude of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic for their leadership and the responsibility entrusted to them by the General Assembly in co-chairing the high-level international conference to resolve the Palestinian issue through peaceful solutions and the implementation of the two-state solution, which was held today in New York.
He affirmed that this historic international conference carries a promise to the Palestinian people that the historical injustice they have suffered must come to an end, stating: “This conference is a message to the Palestinian people that the world supports us in achieving our rights to life, freedom, and dignity on our land, and our right to a sovereign state, and also a message to the Israelis that there is a path to peace and regional integration, which will be achieved through our independence and not our destruction.”
The Palestinian Prime Minister also welcomed the approach taken by this conference to define what is required from all parties, and to promote tangible and decisive action, with clear mechanisms and specific timeframes.
