أصدرت مصر بياناً شديد اللهجة استهجنت فيه الدعاية المغرضة الصادرة عن بعض التنظيمات التي تستهدف تشويه الدور المصري الداعم للقضية الفلسطينية، واستنكرت الاتهامات غير المبررة بأن مصر ساهمت أو تساهم، في الحصار المفروض على قطاع غزة من خلال منع دخول المساعدات الإنسانية.
وشددت وزارة الخارجية المصرية على سطحية وعدم منطقية تلك الاتهامات الواهية، واصفة تلك الاتهامات بأنها «تتناقض في محتواها مع الموقف بل ومع المصالح المصرية وتتجاهل الدور الذي قامت وما زالت تقوم به مصر منذ بدء العدوان الإسرائيلي على القطاع»، سواء فيما يتعلق بالجهود من أجل التوصل لوقف إطلاق النار، أو من خلال عمليات الإغاثة وتوفير وإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية التي قادتها مصر عبر معبر رفح، أو جهود الإعداد والترويج لخطة إعادة إعمار القطاع التي تم اعتمادها عربياً وتأييدها من عدد من الأطراف الدولية.
وأوضحت الخارجية المصرية أن تلك الخطة تركزت على إنقاذ الفلسطينيين الأبرياء في قطاع غزة، وإدخال المساعدات، وبدء مراحل التعافي المبكر وإعادة الإعمار، في إطار الموقف الثابت الهادف لتوفير إمكانات البقاء والصمود للشعب الفلسطيني على أرضه، ومقاومة محاولات التهجير القسري والاستيلاء على الأرض وتصفية القضية الفلسطينية.
وأكدت مصر إدراكها الكامل لوقوف بعض التنظيمات والجهات الخبيثة وراء تلك الدعاية المغرضة، والتي لا تستهدف سوى إيجاد حالة من عدم الثقة بين الشعوب العربية، وتشتيت انتباه الرأي العام العربي والدولي عن الأسباب الحقيقية وراء الكارثة الإنسانية التي أصابت أكثر من مليوني مواطن فلسطيني في غزة.
وشددت الخارجية المصرية، في بيانها، على عدم إغلاق معبر رفح من الجانب المصري قط، وأن المعبر بالجانب الفلسطيني محتل من سلطة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي التي تمنع النفاذ من خلاله.
ودعت مصر للتعامل بحذر شديد مع الأكاذيب التي يتم الترويج لها عن عمد من خلال توظيف المأساة التي يتعرض لها الشعب الفلسطيني تحت الاحتلال لخدمة روايات خبيثة لا تعدو كونها جزءاً من الحرب النفسية التي تمارس على الشعوب العربية لإحباطها، وإحداث حالة من الفرقة والخلاف فيما بينها، وخدمة نوايا معروفة لتصفية القضية الفلسطينية.
وجددت مصر تأكيدها على استمرار جهودها لرفع المعاناة عن أهل قطاع غزة ووقف إطلاق النار ونفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية، وبدء إعادة الإعمار، والتأكيد على مواصلة جهودها لتوحيد الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة وضمان تواصل الأراضي الفلسطينية، والبدء في عملية سياسية لتنفيذ حل الدولتين وإقامة دولة فلسطينية، وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، وفقاً لقرارات الشرعية الدولية وخطوط الرابع من يونيو لعام 1967.
Egypt issued a strongly worded statement in which it condemned the malicious propaganda coming from certain organizations that aim to distort Egypt's supportive role in the Palestinian cause. It denounced the unfounded accusations that Egypt has contributed or is contributing to the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip by preventing the entry of humanitarian aid.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the superficiality and illogical nature of these baseless accusations, describing them as "contradicting in content with the position and the interests of Egypt and ignoring the role that Egypt has played and continues to play since the onset of the Israeli aggression on the Strip," whether in terms of efforts to reach a ceasefire or through relief operations and the provision and entry of humanitarian aid that Egypt has led through the Rafah crossing, or the efforts to prepare and promote the reconstruction plan for the Strip that has been approved by Arab countries and supported by several international parties.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry clarified that this plan focuses on saving innocent Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, delivering aid, and initiating early recovery and reconstruction phases, within the framework of a steadfast position aimed at providing the means for survival and resilience for the Palestinian people on their land, and resisting attempts at forced displacement and land seizure, as well as the liquidation of the Palestinian cause.
Egypt affirmed its full awareness of the malicious organizations and entities standing behind this malicious propaganda, which aims only to create a state of distrust among Arab peoples and distract Arab and international public opinion from the real causes behind the humanitarian disaster affecting more than two million Palestinian citizens in Gaza.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed, in its statement, that the Rafah crossing has never been closed from the Egyptian side, and that the crossing on the Palestinian side is occupied by the Israeli occupation authority, which prevents access through it.
Egypt called for extreme caution in dealing with the lies that are deliberately promoted by exploiting the tragedy faced by the Palestinian people under occupation to serve malicious narratives that are nothing more than part of the psychological warfare being waged against Arab peoples to demoralize them, create division and discord among them, and serve known intentions to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
Egypt reiterated its commitment to continue its efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip, achieve a ceasefire, ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, initiate reconstruction, and continue its efforts to unify the West Bank and Gaza Strip and ensure the continuity of Palestinian territories, as well as to initiate a political process to implement the two-state solution and establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the borders of June 4, 1967.
