قلل الكرملين اليوم (الجمعة) من تأثير العقوبات الجديدة التي فرضها الاتحاد الأوروبي على الاقتصاد الروسي ووصفها بأنّها «غير قانونية»، مؤكداً على لسان المتحدث باسمه دميتري بيسكوف أنّها ستؤدي إلى نتائج عكسية.
وقال بيسكوف في تصريحات للصحفيين: «سنقوم بالتأكيد بتحليل الحزمة الجديدة من العقوبات لتقليل تأثيرها، ولكن كلّ حزمة جديدة تُفاقم التأثير السلبي على الدول التي تطبقها»، مضيفاً: «ستكون للعقوبات الأوروبية الجديدة عواقب وخيمة على الدول التي تدعمها»، وذلك عقب ساعات من فرض الاتحاد الأوروبي حزمة جديدة من العقوبات على روسيا على خلفية الحرب في أوكرانيا تشمل خفض سعر النفط الروسي الموجه للتصدير، بحسب مصادر دبلوماسية.
وكانت وسائل إعلام غربية قد قالت اليوم إن عقوبات بريطانية جديدة تستهدف ضباطاً رفيعي الرتبة في الاستخبارات العسكرية الروسية.
وفي سياق آخر، قال المتحدث باسم الكرملين دميتري بيسكوف: «نتفق مع فولوديمير زيلينسكي حول ضرورة تسريع المفاوضات».
وكان الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي قد قال في وقت سابق اليوم: «ستستمر عملية تنفيذ الاتفاقات التي تم التوصل إليها في الاجتماع الثاني في إسطنبول، لكن هذه العملية بحاجة إلى المزيد من الزخم».
ميدانياً، أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الروسية اليوم أن أنظمة الدفاع الجوي دمرت الليلة الماضية 73 مسيرة أطلقتها أوكرانيا خلال الليل، 3 منها كانت متجهة إلى موسكو، موضحة في بيان أن من بين الطائرات المسيرة التي جرى تدميرها 31 طائرة مسيرة فوق أراضي مقاطعة بريانسك، و17 مسيرة فوق أراضي مقاطعة أوريول، كما دمرت 10 مسيرات فوق ضواحي موسكو من بينها 3 مسيرات كانت تحلق باتجاه موسكو، و4 مسيرات فوق القرم، و3 مسيرات فوق مياه بحر آزوف، و2 فوق أراضي كل من مقاطعتي سمولينسك ونيجني نوفغورود، ومسيرة واحدة فوق أراضي كل من مقاطعات بيلغورود وكالوغا وفورونيج وفوق مياه البحر الأسود.
The Kremlin downplayed today (Friday) the impact of the new sanctions imposed by the European Union on the Russian economy, describing them as "illegal," and emphasized through its spokesperson Dmitry Peskov that they will lead to counterproductive results.
Peskov stated in remarks to reporters: "We will certainly analyze the new package of sanctions to mitigate their impact, but every new package exacerbates the negative effects on the countries that implement them," adding: "The new European sanctions will have severe consequences for the countries that support them," following hours after the European Union imposed a new package of sanctions on Russia in light of the war in Ukraine, which includes a reduction in the price of Russian oil intended for export, according to diplomatic sources.
Western media reported today that new British sanctions are targeting high-ranking officers in the Russian military intelligence.
In another context, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said: "We agree with Volodymyr Zelensky on the necessity to accelerate negotiations."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had stated earlier today: "The process of implementing the agreements reached in the second meeting in Istanbul will continue, but this process needs more momentum."
On the ground, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that air defense systems destroyed 73 drones launched by Ukraine overnight, 3 of which were headed towards Moscow, clarifying in a statement that among the drones destroyed were 31 drones over the territory of Bryansk region, and 17 drones over the territory of Oryol region, as well as 10 drones over the suburbs of Moscow, including 3 drones that were flying towards Moscow, 4 drones over Crimea, 3 drones over the waters of the Sea of Azov, 2 over the territories of Smolensk and Nizhny Novgorod regions, and one drone over the territories of Belgorod, Kaluga, Voronezh regions, and over the waters of the Black Sea.
