قُتل شخصان أحدهما شرطي وأُصيب ما لا يقل عن ثلاثة آخرين، بإطلاق نار في كنيسة بولاية كنتاكي الأمريكية، حسبما ذكرت وسائل إعلام أمريكية.
وألقت قوات إنفاذ القانون القبض على المشتبه به في كنيسة ريتشموند رود المعمدانية، على بعد نحو 16 ميلاً إلى الجنوب الشرقي، حيث أطلق النار أيضاً، وتشير المعلومات الأولية إلى أن المشتبه به ربما كان على صلة بالأفراد الموجودين في الكنيسة، حيث أطلق النار على أربعة أشخاص داخل الكنيسة.
وأضاف قائد الشرطة أن رجلين آخرين أُصيبا بالرصاص، أحدهما في حالة حرجة والآخر حالته مستقرة.
وأطلقت الشرطة النار على المشتبه به، وأعلنت وفاته في موقع الحادث.
Two people were killed, one of whom was a police officer, and at least three others were injured in a shooting at a church in the state of Kentucky, according to U.S. media reports.
Law enforcement apprehended the suspect at the Richmond Road Baptist Church, about 16 miles southeast, where he also opened fire. Initial information suggests that the suspect may have had a connection to the individuals present in the church, as he shot four people inside the church.
The police chief added that two other men were shot, one in critical condition and the other in stable condition.
The police shot the suspect and pronounced him dead at the scene.
