أعرب رئيس البرلمان العربي محمد بن أحمد اليماحي، عن إدانته الشديدة ورفضه القاطع للتصريحات الخطيرة الصادرة من مسؤولين في حكومة كيان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، وآخرها التصريحات التي أطلقها وزير العدل الإسرائيلي والتي دعا فيها بشكل صريح إلى ضم الضفة الغربية وفرض السيادة الإسرائيلية عليها.
ووصف رئيس البرلمان العربي -في بيان رسمي له- تلك التصريحات الإسرائيلية بأنها «انتهاك صارخ للقانون الدولي ولقرارات الشرعية الدولية ذات الصلة»، ومحاولة لتقويض كل فرص السلام العادل والشامل القائم على حل الدولتين وإنهاء الاحتلال.
وأكد رئيس البرلمان العربي، أن هذه التصريحات تعكس النهج التوسعي الاستعماري الذي تنتهجه حكومة كيان الاحتلال، مشددًا على رفضه لانتهاكاته السافرة في الضفة الغربية، من اقتحامات واعتقالات وتوسيع للمستعمرات غير القانونية، وتصعيد وتيرة الاعتداءات العسكرية وهدم للمنازل والبنية التحتية، وتهجير للمواطنين.
وشدد اليماحي على رفض البرلمان العربي القاطع لتصاعد اعتداءات المستوطنين المتطرفين بحق المدنيين في الضفة الغربية تحت حماية قوات الاحتلال، بالتزامن مع حرب الإبادة الجماعية التي يرتكبها كيان الاحتلال في قطاع غزة للقضاء على كافة مقومات الحياة واستهداف الوجود الفلسطيني.
وحذر اليماحي، من خطورة هذه السياسات الهادفة إلى تكريس نظام الفصل العنصري والهيمنة، مؤكدًا أن استمرار كيان الاحتلال في فرض وقائع جديدة على الأرض بالقوة لن يغيّر من الوضع القانوني للأراضي الفلسطينية، ولن يمنح شرعية لاحتلال باطل ومرفوض.
وجدد رئيس البرلمان العربي، دعوته للمجتمع الدولي، خصوصا مجلس الأمن والأمم المتحدة، إلى تحمل مسؤولياتهم القانونية والإنسانية، والتحرك العاجل لوقف هذه الانتهاكات الممنهجة، ومحاسبة المسؤولين عنها، وتوفير الحماية الدولية للشعب الفلسطيني، ودعم نضاله المشروع من أجل إقامة دولته المستقلة ذات السيادة وعاصمتها القدس، باعتباره الحل الوحيد لتحقيق السلام العادل والشامل الذي يضمن الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
وأكد اليماحي، أن البرلمان العربي سيستمر في دعمه الكامل والثابت للشعب الفلسطيني وحقوقه الوطنية المشروعة، وفي مقدمتها حقه في تقرير المصير والعودة، وإقامة دولته المستقلة ذات السيادة.
The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yemahi, expressed his strong condemnation and absolute rejection of the dangerous statements issued by officials in the Israeli occupation government, the latest of which were the statements made by the Israeli Minister of Justice, who explicitly called for the annexation of the West Bank and the imposition of Israeli sovereignty over it.
In an official statement, the President of the Arab Parliament described those Israeli statements as a "flagrant violation of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions," and an attempt to undermine all chances for a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution and ending the occupation.
The President of the Arab Parliament affirmed that these statements reflect the colonial expansionist approach adopted by the occupation government, emphasizing his rejection of its blatant violations in the West Bank, including incursions, arrests, the expansion of illegal settlements, the escalation of military assaults, the demolition of homes and infrastructure, and the displacement of citizens.
Al-Yemahi stressed the Arab Parliament's firm rejection of the escalating attacks by extremist settlers against civilians in the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces, coinciding with the genocide being committed by the occupation entity in the Gaza Strip to eliminate all aspects of life and target the Palestinian existence.
Al-Yemahi warned of the danger of these policies aimed at entrenching an apartheid system and dominance, affirming that the continued imposition of new facts on the ground by the occupation force will not change the legal status of Palestinian territories, nor will it grant legitimacy to an illegitimate and rejected occupation.
The President of the Arab Parliament renewed his call to the international community, especially the Security Council and the United Nations, to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities, to take urgent action to stop these systematic violations, hold those responsible accountable, provide international protection for the Palestinian people, and support their legitimate struggle for the establishment of their independent sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital, as it is the only solution to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees security and stability in the region.
Al-Yemahi affirmed that the Arab Parliament will continue its full and unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate national rights, foremost among which is their right to self-determination and return, and the establishment of their independent sovereign state.
